    Hiya,

It is great to see some other people studying this course. I have also just started it and like everyone else am quite excited about doing it!

As for the first assignment i have not started it yet, i've had a quick look but have not got to grips with it yet.

However i've had problems getting the dvd to work, so have nt done my tutorial and am now forking out for a new computer, not exactly money saving!

Good luck everyone with your assignments

  • I have just started TMA 1 today, and have finished Part A. As it said in the guide etc, I'm just going to have a go and try not to worry about it too much, as its just to get an idea of the sort of stuff we need to be writing, and only worth 10%.

I already have a degree, which I got 2 years ago, and we had to write in a very particular style which I'm not sure will be right for this course, so I will be looking for feedback on that!

Is anyone else doing their assgnment today?

Have just checked the Open University website at https://www.open.ac.uk and the Individual Learning Account applies to Scotland only. Shame really, Id be interested in doing some study with the OU, but their fees can be quite high.
    Oh well.

I applied directly to the OU for my funding and received help in full. Their funding rules are more generous this year than previously.

    I'm starting TMA1 today too!

Unfortunately I only just discovered this thread as this course is right up my street and the next presentation isn't until Nov 07.

Is there a course book you had to buy that I could peruse until then?
