  • Wow! You've got a proper little OU community going here! I really wanted to do the course this year as it would have helped me with the kind of work I want to go into, but as I'm already up to my neck in part-time study and full-time work I decided against it. My time should free up next year (only yearly exams instead of six-monthly) so I'll do it then.

In the meantime I'll keep an eye on how you're all doing.

    Good luck to all!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

How do OU courses work in terms of paying for it? Can you get regular student loans? Do you need A Levels to do it?!

I'm trying to coax my mum back into education as it's what she really wants but she's scared to give up work.

No qualifications of any kind required...anyone can enrol with the OU :)
Course fees - depends on what you are taking/what you earn. You can put your salary etc into this link and it will tell you if are eligible for financial help or not ---> http://www3.open.ac.uk/coursefinance/
