How is everyone doing with TMA02? Have you all finished? Was it hard? I am doing mine all day tomorrow and submitting it online like last time.

Bit stuck with one of the questions, might have to ask about it later when I get home, if anyone wants to help. I missed the last tutorial so didn't get to ask my tutor.

I've got most of mine written out in rough scribbly notes. I just need to tidy it up and put the sentences into proper English :o:D

I'm enjoying the course and finding it quite useful. Just today I was able to work out how much tax my brother should be paying by using the DVD tools, as he's started a new job recently and they've messed his tax up.
Here I go again on my own....

i just felt tma2 was just too stupid a paper to waste my time on ..i was reading it and thinking "either this is just silly or i'm not reading it right" so i left it till about 2 weeks ago and looked at it again...and yes it's just silly at that point i think i reached burnout and called it quits....so what did you have wheeze? girl or boy? and how are baby and yourself?

elantan - may be worth speaking with your tutor see if you can get a bit of extra time burnout does occur (i had a year of it!) but I've found that one of the real stregnths of OU tutors is understanding this and suggesting motivating ways forwards.

Wheeze - Congratulations! hope you find the time to meet your new deadline - remember a little is better than nothing - good luck.

I sent mine off today - rubbish and rushed but bit short of time myself at the moment.

maybe ohmsoft but can i ask did you not think those questions in tma2 were just an insult to intelligence? i just laughed and thought youve got to be kidding me on....and just gave up ...it probably is burn out ...but i just cant seem to get motivated for anything just now to be honest

Agreed, but it is a 30 pointer at level 1 so the emphasis is not so much about the questions and technical knowladge but how they're addressed - to be honest I picked the course simply for the points towards a degree. You prob' could knock something up in an hour or two that will give you at least pass marks?

Question 2 does offer scope to get a little bit of meat on it.

I've "gave up" on two courses in the past that I could have passed quite easily and do regret the wasted money and oppertunity towards the degree.

Sure you'll make the choice that's right for you but don't make any hasty decisions - your tutor will give you more time if needed.
