    Hi

The course book is "Personal Finance" - edited by George Callaghan, Ian Fribbance and Martin Higginson.

It's an OU publication but I understand it may be bought seperately.

That said it is included in the price of the course and you will be missing the valuable tuition which runs alongside it. May be worth considering another course in the meantime?
  • For those of you registered on the course, the DB123 OUSA forum has finally been setup (via First class) :)

To get there, either login via your First Class software, or via the student homepage (https://www.open.ac.uk). Go to the 'open university' icon, and then 'OU students association' and then 'OUSA signpost' and finally 'OUSA DB123'. Bit quiet in there at the moment ;)

It is a shame there's not a formally moderated one within first class itself - first course I've done which hasn't and I miss being able to bounce ideas off people etc.

Thanks for the above link hopefully it will serve the same purpose once the other 1200 enrolled on the course realise its there!
  • Oooh thanks for that - am up there now and posting!

Did everyone get the TMA in on time? I was poorly during the week, so didn't finish and submit it until 10pm last night. Just in time :D

I thought it was quite difficult to keep to the word limits. I could have written a lot more but had to keep it concise. Hope we get the results back soon.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Hi Becles.

Got my assignment in on time, now waiting for the result - ho hum. I did not reference at all either, just drawing from my notes etc, so now worried about that! Never mind - we shall see what happens. Good luck to everyone else.

Hi Becles you are not alone. I finally sent my TMA through the electronic system at 11:29 last night.  I was panicking that it was not going to let me send it and I would miss the deadline. Just one thing, I couldn't find any templates to attach my assignment to so just sent it without. Are there any? If so where are they? Might have missed something but have been looking everywhere.

    Hi Wheeze
Glad I'm not the only one then. Previous courses I've always found the templates on the course page of the Student Home but looked everywhere and couldn't see it. Sent mine in word too.

    Thanks
