    item dispatched 17/12 RM 1st class.received today 22/12
  • Oh dear...I came looking to see if others were having problems and it appears they are. I placed an order on Wednesday 8th December with free super saver delivery. Four items in total, three have arrived (in three separate deliveries) over a week ago. The fourth (DVD's) hasn't appeared yet. I'm in the south west, we had absolutely no snow between 8th and last Friday and we've had postal deliveries pretty much all the time.

If these are genuine weather problems why would I get three items but not the fourth one?

Really disappointed, irritatingly I paid a bit more with Amazon because Sainsburys who were cheapest were getting bad reviews for their delivery times!

our order with amazon came today, was ordered on the 8th, dispatched, in good old pantomine fashion on the 10th, oh no it wasnt........it was classed as dispatched but actually in their warehouse for 8 days. then went on a road trip, from scotland to chester, to yorkshire to tyneside and then here. thought originally it was a royal mail mess but in fact they had it for 3 days if you include saturday. see if your item has a tracking code on amazon, it can make interesting reading, sad I know:j

LOL interesting journey. I thought our only tracked item's journey was a bit strange. Bedfordshire to NW Distribution Centre (3 days) then dwelt there for 5 days arriving here, s/London, on day 5. No clue as to other three pending - no tracking.

Ordered via Amazon on 11th, dispatched on 18th, delivered today 22nd, a day before estimated delivery. Took Amazon twice as long to dispatch the thing as it took Royal Mail to deliver it.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Thumbs up to Royal Mail.

    Merry Christmas!

I received two orders today, one which I'd placed and was sent 10 days ago, and the other which was sent two days ago! I actually congratulate my postman rather than Amazon for getting them to me across the ice-rink that is my road.

My expedited order from the 14th Dec and dispatched on the 15th Dec was split in two... half sent from milton keynes via City Link to me in London. This did arrive next day (although City Link turned up at 17.40!) Got to forgive them for that given the current problems, they were brilliant as far as i'm concerned. The other half was sent by first class royal mail (I have to assume from Scotland), and only arrived this morning - 6 or 7 days for first class package would seem to be quite good! At least RM didn't lose it!

Amazon sent a replacement via City Link for the RM items yesterday, so I now have to try and refuse the city link delivery and have them returned to Amazon. City link was meant to deliver today according to CL website (but Amazon are predicting the 29th!!!!), but the package hasn't even arrived at my local depot yet... so no idea whats going on there. It was only coming from the West Midlands!

Maybe we are expecting too much? When things work well a package can travel from one end of the country to the other in less than 12 hours and be at your door! All logistics have broken down!
