Slowly creeping towards pay day Friday so not much to report from me on the £££ front...
Deciding what to do about 9 months 0% offer if I transfer before end of March. So that'd be to November. Current deal I'm on runs out in June. So that's an extra 5 months, but another 3% transfer fee. Hmmm. Decisions decisions. Maybe I should wait till current deal runs out and then see if I can get another deal/card then.
Made £63 on e bay this weekend :T Still waiting on £26 being paid though...
Going to try to make an extra payment to the cc this month - see how much I'm in the black come pay day...
Boring really.0 -

I studied Spanish at uni and lived there for a while so tutored for a while after I finished uni. The agency I worked for finished up though - guy retired - and I never really got anywhere on my own - was difficult not working for a 'reputable tutoring agency':p and just someone who'd put a poster up IYSWIM.
Have fun with all of that! :T:T:T
you totally have a fan over in DNMS Towers :staradmin:starmod:

So, that's payday been and gone for another month...
Transferred £££ to the bills a/c which should be enough to keep that ticking over for another month. It is getting tighter month by month with OH still job hunting but his JSA is paying for groceries so that's a really big help.
He's got a few jobs still in the pipeline so got all our fingers and toes crossed - I've got a good feeling something will come up soon.
£300 due to go to cc on Tuesday so that baby will finally be under £2k! :j to the excitement! I'm going to try to make a few more PADs to this too because I've been slacking with this recently...
I've pre-booked all the train tickets I'll need between now and May (I think) so that'll save me a bit - about £4 to £6 per journey compared to the standard 'pay at the station' fare.
What else...???
Don't think I'm going to bother with e bay this month (grrr to the hassle of non-payers!) but I am planning a clear out so you never know what I'll find!
I say 'planning a clear out' but the truth is that I've been clearing out ever since I moved into this flat. It's always been too small for me and all my wonderful stuff. It's now definitely too small for us both and all our wonderful stuff. Trying to live with a strict 'one in one out' policy but that doesn't always work
My virtual sealed pot is coming along nicelyQuite surprised how much it all adds up. I've decided to keep it going to £100 and then start afresh. That should help me budget for weddings and stuff that's coming up this year... So when I reach £100 I'll have a decent amount to withdraw and use sensibly for all those expenses. :A
Still saving £2 coins (usually) but haven't decided yet what I'll use these for. Maybe a meal out, like the penny jar the last time. (NB: not that we took the penny jar to the restaurant :rotfl:, obviously bagged and put into my a/c and then switched the meal:rotfl:)
Oh, can't believe I forgot the biggy - we've decided not to get any takeaways in March! Wish us luck!! OH's curry is amazing, pizzas can be bought frozen so why do we spend so much (£40 a month usually) on takeaway food?!! Just a case of being prepared and making sure we have quick junk food type stuff in for the nights we're being really lazy, right?
In other news...
OH checked his loan - 36 payments left... He thought it was less. I think we can get it down though. I said that when we pay off the cc I can start paying towards the loan to get that paid off quicker and then for every payment I make he can pay me back (or put away as savings for us both) after the loan finishes... So basically, if I pay off 12 months' payments (as overpayments so OH can pay off his loan a year early) then in the last year he can pay me back instead of paying the loan. Least that way it'll be off his credit report a year early etc... See how it works out, not set anything in stone yet. Think he'd much prefer to pay it all off himself but we'll see what makes sense as the time approaches...
Time for a :coffee:0 -
So, my dinero has been doing a bit of dancing today - me shifting it about from account to account and checking other accounts to make sure it's all in order...
Paid a bit off CC #1 so it's a nice round figureThat'll be £1900 tomorrow!! :T:j :T
Moved £££ to monthly yoga savings - will be paying deposit off next month so saving a bit towards that this month IYSWIM...
Took £100 out for 'spends'. Gave OH the £25 I owed him so already down to £75!!
Mortgage comes out tomorrow and then insurance, phone bill and then yoga so I'll then be down to my last £120...
£120 + £75 = £195 to last until the 25th = £7.80 a day!
Sounds easily doable but we'll see...0 -
My money was doing the banking samba today between my accounts to keep them all afloat0

Hi La Escocesa, sorry I haven't been keeping up with people.
Hope all is well with you, good luck to your DH with finding a job.
Good luck with the no takeaways too!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi jwil
Nice to see you popping by :coffee:
Hubby's job hunt is going ok. He's not had an interview in a few weeks but still waiting to hear from a few - one was an interview he went to a month ago and they called to say they're still deciding  how bad is that?! With others he's got applications at various stages so hopefully an interview or two will come out of them.
Hope things with your DH works out well too :grouphug:

 Just paid off my 'pay off in full every month' cc a month early! Payment wasn't due until 14 April but I had to pay it off before the end of this month so I could take advantage of 0% deal...
They called me the other night to offer me 0% for 9 months, which would be great for us right now, especially because we might have to shift priorities towards OH's loan until he gets a job. We've been paying about £400 a month off both, but from next month my £400 will have to go towards the loan with only minimum amt coming off cc - OH's contributions will have officially run out
So, now I currently have £31.46 to last 2 weekends (does anyone else find it easier to work in 'weekends until payday'?!)
I don't have anything planned for the next two weekends so should be poss. This £31 is just for me/personal spends; OH is buying all groceries from his JSA (nice contribution) and that should also mean my work lunches, which will probably be leftovers, soup or toast and something.
Doable?!?! Hope so... Always remembering the reason for it is to save £££ on 0% deal... (and I didn't even have to apply for a new card so no credit check! Small things after all...)

- Trip to friend's - travel paid but need £££ for food and drinks for the weekend and other travel while we're there
- Pressie for friend
- Other train tickets to buy
- Wedding flowers preservation - dunno if £50 is enough but can't pay any more - might save £50 towards it next month and then be able to afford £100 in April...
Was v happy when I realised that trip to friend's was after payday so kinda 'April' even though it's in March IYSWIM... :T0 -
you're right it is the small things like that that help. Well done for paying off early!0
