Thanks LT. I know it was the sensible thing to do, just hard handing the cash over sooner than I thought it was due. Looked nicer sitting in my 'yoga savings' a/c. :)

Hopefully total spend today is only 60p... Breakfast croissant. :( Not really a necessary spend but I completely forgot about breakfast until I was about to walk out the door and it was already 8.50 :( Just have no sense of urgency about getting to work in the mornings recently. Life goes on... (On second thoughts I should've had my porridge and got to work at 9.30 instead of 9.15!)

Need to keep £5 for a bouquet for a colleague who's had a baby. Wouldn't have suggested it but one of those things that someone mentions and everyone goes along with so you don't really feel like you can say no... I suggested the £5 each so hopefully they don't then ask for more (mainly because we put in for a collection before she left for maternity leave and not that I don't want to contribute but it's like putting in twice...) :o

No other spends cropping up so my £30 is doing me well so far. :)

one was an interview he went to a month ago and they called to say they're still deciding  how bad is that?!
    xxx

:eek:That is shocking! Every interview I've known, they let you know in a couple of days generally.

Hope he has lots of luck with the rest!

 Just paid off my 'pay off in full every month' cc a month early! Payment wasn't due until 14 April but I had to pay it off before the end of this month so I could take advantage of 0% deal...

They called me the other night to offer me 0% for 9 months, which would be great for us right now, especially because we might have to shift priorities towards OH's loan until he gets a job. We've been paying about £400 a month off both, but from next month my £400 will have to go towards the loan with only minimum amt coming off cc - OH's contributions will have officially run out :(

So, now I currently have £31.46 to last 2 weekends (does anyone else find it easier to work in 'weekends until payday'?!)

I don't have anything planned for the next two weekends so should be poss. This £31 is just for me/personal spends; OH is buying all groceries from his JSA (nice contribution) and that should also mean my work lunches, which will probably be leftovers, soup or toast and something.

Doable?!?! Hope so... Always remembering the reason for it is to save £££ on 0% deal... (and I didn't even have to apply for a new card so no credit check! Small things after all... :p)

    xxx

I count weekends til payday too, as that is when we do the grocery shop and when most spends take place. I hate it when payday falls on a Monday, it just seems like it's 'stolen' an extra weekend from me :rotfl:

Great news on the 0% though!

The 30p in my purse needs topping up ;)

I need to buy the baking mag I saw on TV as it comes with 6 silicone cupcake moulds. Looking for them to use as candle making moulds so these are perfect and cheap - 99p for the mag :T

Also might need to buy some tins of soup - 2 for £1

And a bottle of cola - having a bit of a rum and coke night and plan on drinking some Arrack to remind us of those honeymoon nights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrack :T TFI Friday tomorrow

    £3.50 spend, sorted.

Shifted some funds about today - yay to having money in the bills a/c :T

Next month things will be a bit easier because council tax will be £54 cheaper :T Paid over 7 months instead of 12 or something ridiculous like that (changed bank a/cs and then payment date and then council couldn't keep up with change of sort code...long story). Anyway, an extra £54 will be welcome. Obviously paying council tax over 12 months and not 10 ;)

Found out about my payrise today, due from 1 April. Just an extra £540 a year (boo) but every little helps. :)

Had mum on the phone - asking what I want for my bday - and not happy with my suggestions:mad: Not that I want to say 'just gimme cash and I'll pay a chunk off my cc' but I really have no desire, want or inclination to go on a massive shopping spree just for the sake of it any more. Oh how things have changed:o Might suggest posh make up as it's something I'd definitely use.

But at least it pays it back the following month! I do the same, though. I hate 5 week months!!

Just read the thread, good luck - you're doing really well.

Hi DebtFreedom! Thanks for popping by :)

I've never thought about those 5-week months like that before. Good thinking. This month I have no excuses - exactly 4 weeks between paydays. Much nicer, although I know I'd be moaning if I got paid 4 weekly and all my bills were monthly ;)

I've got a monday payday again this month as well, second in a row and i have to agree it sucks. At least this month i hadn't budgetted for a friday pay day and then been disappointed to find out it's a monday.
