LT! You've got me all wrong - that was in my 'past life' (aka about August last year :p) wouldn't catch me doing something like that now! :)

I couldn't stay on the no more toiletries thread! Everyone kept posting great deals that were too tempting to read about! Kept finding something on someone's post that I really 'needed'. :o:D

Post Office Saving stamps?! Like those savings books that people had in the 60s where you would take it, cashier would write in what's been taken out / deposited and stamp it!?

    Now that is old fashioned!

Well apparently they're being phased out at the end of Feb. I would strongly suggest that if anyone has some, look here: http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/content1?catId=94800755&mediaId=19400174

Hahaha I've found that - people talk about how fab something is so I go and buy it:o Honestly, since I joined this forum I've never loved toiletries so much...I have Body Shop and Soap and Glory coming out of my ears, tons of bargains:T

    • Lunch to work every day - will be pretty hard - feels like nothing in but there is always sumat I can find...
    • 'Splash out' on something from Lush - £5 limit for a treat and need to buy ultrabland - feed that addiction :p
    • List something on e bay
    • Go laundry crazy...
    • Sort stuff for Friday - OH's bday

Lunch is consisting of toasted fruit loaf and cheese for the rest of the week... How boring but £2.88 and should last all week. Plus, only in 4 days. :)

Bought some It's Raining Men today as my little 'treat' so that'll keep me happy for a while. Now need to decide which face mask to get on my next trip in - now have 5 black pots so can take them for recycling and get a face mask free ;) Also good excuse to have an early night and read the lush times.

Perfume didn't sell on e bay. Can't believe it. Was a great price. Think I'll list it again for £5 less than it was. :(

Another washing done, another load drying and a 'maintenance wash' run through the machine to clean it. Still thinking about phoning the laundry pick up/drop off service I saw to get rid of the piles from the bedroom :o

Light rain forecast for Friday... Hopefully won't scupper our plans of going for a walk... Might end up longer in the pub!

hi, i know what you mean about the toiletries thread, there's lots of people sitting on the norty step all the time. I remember when i joined the use it up challenge about 3-4 years ago, then people were determined NOT to buy even if things were really good offers. I think for me it makes me use things that were just sat there, i work very hard not to get pulled into the grabbits as i just don't have the readies available.

Not got a lot of cash in the bank, so this week is going to be about NOT getting tempted walking through town every day...

The fridge freezer and cupboards are full so there is no excuse not to take lunches to work and there really isn't anything else I'll 'need'... Same old same old with me :p

Got some good things to sell so hoping to make the most of ebay free listing weekend:
    • Ski jacket
    • Other jacket I don't really like
    • New bag I don't need and have only used once :o
    • Some fleecy material I bought and will never use :o
    • Perfume - unopened
    • Straighteners - after I replace the plug
    • Curtains hopefully - esp, if I can find the tiebacks.
    The clearout is on! :T
  • I've found a few bits of clothing of the girls that I need to iron and list on ebay...better get a shifty on then;) After reading about all your Lush goodies, I'm tempted to have a look at their stuff...but I'd only get sucked in...I have no willpower and am attracted to lovely things:rotfl: I went Body Shop crazy last year...have just put some more toiletries picked up today in Superdrug in my airing cupboard...there's no more room...I have boxes in my room full of things too:o:o

Just a quick question too - what cycle do you put your washing machine on to clean it? Mine needs doing but I've never done it....so not sure what to do:o And do I need biological dtergent? We only have non-bio.... help, please:D:D

Oooh, the lush addiction! :) Tbh, I've found a few things there that I've only bought once but on the whole I think they are worth the money and last... Bath bombs and stuff like that are good for a treat and they usually do what they say they'll do (come out the bath feeling moisturised etc...) but are obviously just used once (unless you half them ;) ). The every day things that I use do last and are fab though.

I sold a couple of toiletries last year. Was surprised. Sold some half used Clinique stuff - said it was half used and listed it as 'good to try a new product' etc. :)

I just put the washing machine on 90 for its longest (towels and sheets wash type thing) and put a couple of handfuls of bicarbonate of soda in the drawer. Worked a treat. :T

Not that I plan on using it...I called the laundry pick up and drop off people. It really gets me down so thought I should take action! :p Man is coming tomorrow to take 2 Ikea bags of washing off me and will deliver on Wednesday all washed and dried. Is cheaper than the launderette and you get 25% off your first order. Worth a go, I say. I don't mind washing but having to try to dry things in here is a complete nightmare! Absolutely no space at all. :(

  • Ooooh bicarb...I have that! Off to put the machine on now - thanks chick:A
