That's nice of your OH, 4.9% is a great rate!

    Good luck with the application!

Thanks jwil :) Sure is. Will be a tight month for us either way but at least the debt will come down a bit quicker on a lower amount. The bal transfer fee is 3.9% so pretty steep but still easier/quicker than applying for more credit I guess. :)

You get on top of this place one day and the next it makes absolutely no difference... Kitchen was sparkling yesterday but the frost-free fridge freezer is playing up again  Now need to defrost that so the fridge works...long story - basically the freezer part blows cold air up to the fridge part but when the freezer freezes the air can't flow up (blocked by ice) so the fridge doesn't work. Grrr. Boo to frost free!

Now trying to keep the frozen food frozen or I'm going to have a cooking marathon on my hands (just did a big shop and the freezer was full!) - that's not what I had planned for my day off. Boo. Plus, it means everything is everywhere in the kitchen. :(

I guess it is only half past 10 so still got the full day ahead of me...

I'm going to get on with sorting through clothes in the bedroom - laundry, wardrobe clear out and packing away some clothes I've not been wearing for a while into vacuum bags. Hopefully give us a bit more space in there and make it a nicer place to be. Been moving piles of clothes from bed to floor to bed again for a few days too many....:o

Also knitting some slipper socks so that'll keep me quiet:) and watching more DVDs.

1 bid and 4 watchers on my straighteners so that's promising and 2 watchers on another set I put on. Ooooh, interesting watching...

Paid off CC#1 this morning so hoping that clears before Monday when the bill is generated... After that (when I see the interest added, if any) I can pay it all off and then transfer the other balance. :T

That's very annoying about the fridge. Hope you manage to get it sorted though.

Yay to paying off the credit card! :j

Phew! Just had to post a celebratory :T :T :T I've just finished writing out the thank you cards from our wedding gifts. Jeez my hand hurts. Feeling v humbled and grateful now I've read through all the lovely cards again too.

Fridge is around 6 degrees now - let's see how long it lasts...

Finished Prison Break so going to put that on e bay tomorrow - hopefully go for around £10. Also got 16 thank you cards and matching envelopes left over - wonder if I could get a couple of quid for them... Oh, and a brand new bed runner and cushion cover.

Bed is a-calling now. Catch up with more money-saving ways manana

sounds like you've been doing well. I still remember hand writing all our wedding thank you cards, was time consuming and my hand hurt as well but i do like them to be hand written.

Uh thanks LT - I agree about the handwritten cards. I looked for ages on the internet and some of the printed ones had really cheesy verses/poems too and none of them really fitted what I was trying to say anyway.

Just got to find out the last remaining addresses for people and then get them posted tomorrow. Bought stamps in bulk from e bay a while ago and that worked out around 27p each so a bit of a saving there. On the invitations we put a little buckle on them and that made them large letters so didn't want to make that mistake again.

i made all my stationery and got my stamps in superdrug when they were 5% off, my MIL thought i was mad buying 13 books of large letter stamps but it saved me a fair bit! but then she doesn't believe in savings (for bills etc).
