I use superdrug for my stamps too when I remember. I didn't know you could get them on ebay, do you get much of a saving for them?

The bids on ebay start quite low for stamps. I put my max bid in and just left it - ended up getting 111 for £30. Not much of a saving but still...

I'm watching my sales today on ebay - straighteners have 7 watchers, something else has 3 and another has 2 - so hoping those 3 things sell.

Fingers crossed. I could really do with the extra boost this week.

i'll have to have a look at stamps on ebay, especially with them rocketting in price in April. Hope superdrug do an offer before then, but they probably won't.

Thanks for that, I might check out ebay for stamps too. The savings from Superdrug are not huge, but it all helps!

    Hello there diaryland

Just trying to keep track of some dinero issues…

Sales on ebay came to £55 and when I checked paypal I saw £40 just lying there that I didn't know I had! :T That is currently transferring to my overdrawn a/c so that will look healthier v soon :D

Also just sold a DVD boxset on Amazon so that's just over £20 winging its way to me.

Other things I've got to sell should give me another £30 or so. Fingers crossed. 1. Perfume - maybe relist - good valentine's pressie for someone??? 2. Another boxset… Will hopefully sell…

Now my CC#1 bill has been generated (showing zero :) ) I can get on with my balance transfer. The low interest deal runs out in July so that gives me 6 paydays to get it cleared. Hopefully it's possible and hopefully OH will be able to help out soon too (still job hunting at the mo though).

    Expenses coming up:
    • OH's bday
    • Yoga course
    • Booking accommodation for 2 (or 3 or potentially 4!) x weddings this year
    • Wedding flowers preservation thingamajig

Basically all my cash is accounted for but all for exciting things :)

Still reading Thrift by Samuel Smiles. Now reading about getting into debt and living within your means, not keeping up with the Joneses and saying no to the things you can't afford. Seems simple enough… :o

Need to get on knitting another sock before I have to go to yoga with one cold foot too

TV looks quite good tonight so I am thinking a bit of Taggart, gypsy wedding thing, some nice food and some nice wine and a nice bath with a lush bath bomb a bit later.

Bit of a 'mind dump' of a post there... :o

    xx

You've just reminded me to set my sky box to record the gypsy wedding thing;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Okay dokey, let's get this money situ sorted...

    Monies due £141.71
    Money in purse £8.50
    A/C balance -£54.67

So really I am £95.54 up but tell that to the overdraft... Hopefully get the dosh transferred from paypal pronto so my balance looks a bit better.:D

Payday on Tuesday and I expect to have about £60 then so that can be an extra payment to cc. Or can it? Think I might need it for some extra expenses next month...

    Next month:
    • £300 cc#1
    • Around £30 to cc#2 (interest not calculated yet)
    • £178 to OH
    • Keep £230 for course?
    • £45 to pal...
    • OH's bday
Okay dokey, so with all of those outgoings plus my usual outgoings I should have about 0 leftover!

    Again, 'tis gonna be tight!

(Pay will go up this month - flex bens a bit different this year - so looking forward to seeing what the difference is.)

Oooh, 2 watchers on a boxset on e bay. Fingers crossed it sells. If not I'll try listing it on Amazon instead.

Should receive the other returned item today. :( Will be able to fix it - corner bit of the plug came off - but think I'll wait for another free listing weekend before listing it again. Was eligible for 2nd chance offer but other buyer wanted £20 discount from their original max bid... £20 to replace a plug seemed a bit steep!
