Hi La E,
Sorry to hear about the family giving you a hard time, there's nothing worse than people telling you what they think you should be doing with your life!
Hope all is well otherwise!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Lol, nice input
Thanks for popping by guys, lovely to see some friendly faces
Things are generally going well here. Just busy this week with work being awful and trying to get finished up by the weekend. Cannot wait!!! Have been busy looking at campsites and deciding where to go. We're thinking "remote" Going to take my yoga books and do some serious chilling out

Checked banking - £420 in there and all bills are out. (Nice round figure after my VSP transfer) Been v frugal this month so far. There are another 2 weekends until payday but with any luck I'll get overtime for them and will spend hardly anything. Anything I've got above 0.00 on payday will go towards the cc...although I should maybe think about paying some more off before the bill is generated on the 16th... Hmmm.
I think payroll cutoff is Wednesday so I should be able to claim this weekend's overtime in time for August's pay :T Then the next two/three weekends will be a nice little 'bump up' at the end of September.Praise God for complicated pension schemes :T
Was also thinking I should start PADing again. Even just £1 a day would help, right?!
Put a £2 coin in my stash - even better because I found it in OH's change
I saw that the 1 debt in 100 days is starting again. Don't think I'll join the challenge but might subscribe for some motivation. I think there is a rebel inside of me - every time I sign up for a challenge I end up failing more miserably than I would do if I didn't try :rotfl:

It's amazing how the atmosphere has changed at home since OH started his new job. I think we are both walking taller this week - really does feel like a weight has been taken off our shoulders.
The only bad thing this week is that because we've not been organised at home we haven't taken lunch to work every day. Hope we can put that right next week. Tasty leftovers are the answer  Going to get batch cooking - chilli and roast chicken - should be enough for 8 portions.
I used to keep up with the weekly meal plan thread on the OS board. Don't know why I don't anymore. Might go and have a nosey.

glad to see an update. Well done to your OH starting his new job that's great news. I'm like you as well, i never seem to achieve any of the challenges, that's why the only one i've continued with is the DFW challenge that we're all on.0

That's a good way of thinking about it LTYou're right - I guess it doesn't matter what fancy ways you come up with to stay on track as long as you do and keep plodding along...
It's amazing how close you are to your DF date! I've just spied the little (diminishing!) row of smileys in your signature!! Well done you!! :T
