well done on steering clear of overdraftdom it's fab isn't it!
we're potentially looking at negative equity in our flat but much of it is due to others not doing repairs so this year i'm going to kick butt and make them do things.0 -
Thanks LT, this overdraft-free life is nice.
Good luck with getting those house repairs done. There's not much else I can do around here unfortunately. Moved into a shell and did it up completely - was a nice wee project at the time and was hoping to make something out of it but hey ho. Better just pull my socks up and get on with selling it.0 -

Hello there!
Got on quite well today with painting the doors and skirting boards. Think I underestimated how much chaos it would create though :rotfl:Everything is everywhere now - can't hang any jackets up because I painted the rack (good idea at the time!) and painted the skirting board behind the shoe rack so all the shoes are everywhere too. Thought I was doing well by wearing 'painting clothes' while painting but then went out to take the rubbish out, came back in and fell against the door  And yip, you guessed, had changed out of my painting clothes! :rotfl:Is only a wee patch on my elbow. I'm still gonna wear it
Now I'm just going to settle down for the nightAm meant to be searching for hotels for M&D but will do that tomorrow instead. Feeling pretty tired after watching comic relief last night!
Got myself a new Spanish soap to watch so that's keeping me busy. Can't really do it at the same time as anything else (needs my whole attention to catch all the lingo y'see) so it is good and makes sure I just chill out, rather than watching sumat in English and not really taking time out - just pottering around doing different things at the same time.
Looking forward to Take Me Out later. Shame it's the last of the series. Wonder what they'll show next week.
Only bought some bread today so not much spending going on. Did look through the @rgos catalogue to see if I could see storage boxes but no joy. Looking for two - one for the top of the wardrobe and one for the top of the unit in the living room. Kinda want one that looks decent as well as cheap and lightweight. Hmpfff. More research needed methinks...0 -
we have large lidded storage boxes on top of our wardrobe which came from The Range, i think we've also found them in QD before now, if you have those shops near you.0
-
I've heard good things about The Range but don't think there are any nearby. Never heard of QD... I've seen these in Ike@ http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20078031 which I think would be quite good and we could easily use them again wherever we move to. Now just need to find out about getting there...
Oh, have just seen them on e bay! A bit more expensive but then it could be delivered... Hmmm...
It's amazing that getting rid of my car has not only saved me money on car running costs but also on the costs of impulse spends! I know for a fact that on a day like today I would've jumped in the car, went it Ik3a, went to TKMax, stopped off for a sandwich/coffee...0 -
Just transferred £1850 to 0% for 9 months!
It cost £55.50 to transfer it but still better than my current card going up to 20% in a couple of months.
9 months is surely enough to get that baby cleared, even if we need to feed more cash into OH's loan repayments for a couple of months.
All good.0
