We've gone for the Opening too, Athletics heat (AM session), plus the night of the Mens' 100m Final.
£596 if we are successful and get them all.
I've gone for tons, including 200m final, plus swimming & gymnastics - local lad is current European champion so have high hopes for him

Hello Cake and All,
No. 40 just popping in to say that the 'regular' OP of £83 went out earlier in the week.
I'll update fully on the form next week when the mortgage offset saving has gone out too.
Thanks and good luck everyone,

i am waivering and i need a counter arguement to what i have planned! i have 2 homes one in the uk with a mortgage of 55k and worth 175k and a home abroad worth 190k with no mortgage so an equity balance of 320k and 2 nice homes-- i am now thinking to extend my mortgage here and buy a third home abroad which would be rented out to my in laws --i need just another 40k advance and get good safe rental income to cover the advance--their own home would be rented out to pay me my rent because it is now unsuitable for their age and due to the market they cant sell it but rentability is high!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

I have just received my confirmation letter from the Britannia to confirm receipt of the £3000 cheque. My normal mortgage payment should now be £18 per month and our outstanding balance is now £2230. Our current overpayment is fixed at £417 per month so will definitley be MF by the end of the year
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

May OP
Good news so far this month:
May OP made: £188.59, takes us back on target for year.
2011 MFW #52 OP Target £1200/£525.59/£188.59 May
No redundancy:j:j:j.
Work on house and garden finished for now- has cost approx £4000 so far this year- well worth it though.
We were bought nice patio furniture as a gift so don't need to pay out for that. We still need carpet for stairs and landing but OH's dad is getting us this as a gift. So only need to find some nice light fittings for hall and landing.
Fractured wrist healing well.
Still awaiting news:
OH on 6 month contract (ending in just over a week)- we're hoping he'll get a permanent contract after this- and not a "thanks but goodbye".
Baby due in 9 days :eek::eek:.
Calamity of the week:
Washing machine had a blockage- just general build up we think- which caused it to leak onto kitchen floor. Good news: using Mr Muscle Sink and Plughole unblocker fixed it :T:T Well done OH. Bad news: the water has damaged end panels of kitchen fitted 18 months ago. Its not that obvious so I don't think we'll bother replacing them yet- especially since I'm worried the washing machine might decide to leak again- 5 years old now.

i have been doing some window shopping and had a valuation on my home and suddenly the prices have jumped by about 30pc here(turkey) since last autumn!i thank my lucky stars i bought abroad when the generous lending facilities were available in the uk.-i am rooting around to turn some of my equity in the uk into a BTL there-before you worry i am still aiming to be MFW and will invest the money in the property market(somewhere for my retirement that will be rented out to the in laws now in their old age)--out here mortgages cost about 10pc apr and are relatively new so the properties are relatively cheap but it is changing from how i see the prices going up!--a three bed house by the sea in a lovely town costs about 75k and would do me in my old age!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

No 93 reporting in tonight.
Ive not posted in what feels like months, I have been doing the DTD and now MOCs, so now I have a house full of tins, dishwasher tabs, washing powder/gels, fab softener & handwash etc I think you get the idea lol.
I have only been overpaying £50 in April and May, this was due to me being on SMP.
But we have had some really good news today that the financial compensation scheme had paid out on our mortgage PPI. It has taken nearly 2 years to resolve and finally have been told that a cheque for £2450 has been sent to our mortgage provider to come off our balance. I will call them tomorrow and request that the DD be kept the same.
This will bring it down to £95k approx woohoo!!!
Keep up the good work Cake21 and to all MFWs.
night all0 -
