#192 here. I have made my "usual" OP of £500 yesterday. I hope I might have some more before the end of the month, but it will depend on whether we get around to booking a holiday, and how much I need to lay out for that.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

ElusiveLucy - do you make more than 1 OP in some months? Are your lenders ok with that? Do you pay by cheque? Just wondering so I can get myself organised! I am guessing that MFWs have to wait until the yearly mortgage statement comes through so 'see' the real benefits for our own eyes....

MartyBoy - Some of us can view an online balance (mine incurs daily interest but the balance is only updated once a month) but if you don't have that option then you could either 1) Ring up regularly 2) Have a Mortgage Spreadsheet that will provide you with a good estimate of what your balance is - mine is fairly accurate to the nearest £10 every month.

If you are interested in using a mortgage spreadsheet then I believe there are a few floating around on the forum but I use Locoblade's and if you search for his name you will find it

    Actually I'll correct that:-

Mine is with the Halifax. Don't know about others but my online balance is only updated when I make a payment - at which point they deduct the payment and add the interest incurred so far in the month. What I meant was that although I incur daily interest, they don't adjust the online balance daily.
  • 1.5k for March so far, am top heavy in terms of when I'm overpaying so that'll be it for the moment, but a little update. I like updating my signature too, keeps me focused on the next overpayment :)
