I've had a quote on the repairs to the OH's car and it wasn't too bad, and I also got paid some expenses that will cover the car repair bill, so I have made an additional OP of £500 today, making the total for March £1000. Off to update GoogleDocs.....
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

    MFW #48 reporting in

Third overpayment of 2011 made on the 15th March 2011
    Overpayment target: £1200
    March overpayment : £50 (reduced from £400)
    Overpayments to date: £850

My overall mortgage status is now:

    Mortgage at 16/03/2011
    Outstanding balance: £48,157
Estimated endowment value: £26,123 (next revaluation date 1 April)
Investments: £14,490 (a significant fall; see my diary)
    Deficit: -£7,545

For my information on the damage I'm doing to the mortgage, here's the link to my diary...

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1854517

My overpayments since Jan 09 will also save me an estimated £1,269 before my target MF date of September 2014.

My overpayment reserve is £7,600, well over 21 months regular mortgage payments.

With the success of this strategy, the stretch target of September 2012 is now the new target.

Hope everyone else is on target. Going to spend the rest of today catching up with everyone's successes.

    Hi all...

My update that I sent via google docs for February doesn't seem to be added to the new chart.. am i looking in the wrong place? link on the first page??

Cake, could you please put my February payment as £1332, thanks.

Have been given an unexpected bonus as work today, so my overpayment will be at least £500 this month - hoping to find a bit of spare cash elsewhere too! :T

It's great to see everyone's overpayments..

    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • £162,119 has been repaid already in 76 days (from Jan 1 to 17th March 2011) = 4.68k a day being overpaid. Impressive!
If this rate is kept up, 1.71 million will be repaid by December, or to put it in football terms it'll buy us Wayne Rooney's right hand ;)
Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

 I am going to hang my head in shame . . . Having looked at our figures I really don't think that we will be able to do the 1k target this year (purely because of paying off the kitchen and now the bathroom has decided it wants a makeover too and decided to tell me by dropping the shower curtain and rail onto my head - funny now, but not so much at the time).

So for this year, could I please drop my target to £500?

    Thanks, Laura (No 96)
