    Hi Cake,

No.40 reporting in for March. The scheduled OPs totalling £424 went out on Tuesday. So we should be on targetish. :D By my rough spreadsheet it means we now have approximately £48,567 outstanding.

I'm not sure whether it will be for April or May but we will shortly be starting OPing into a reg saver that will be offset against the mortgage. I hope to still be making small regular monthly OPs direct by SO too.

My aim is to get the mortgage and reg saver payments co-ordinated to go around the same time in the month so that I can still declare the whole amount. Suffice to say that the minimum monthly amount should be £600. I'll let you know more accurate numbers once I've sorted it out.

Oh, I don't want to change my target by the way!

Hope you're well and you enjoyed Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant.

    All the best,

Have already paid usual £250 overpayment. Another £596.50 to pay in tomorrow - proceeds from cash can. Still a long way to go, but every bit helps.

#192 here. I have made my "usual" OP of £500 yesterday. I hope I might have some more before the end of the month, but it will depend on whether we get around to booking a holiday, and how much I need to lay out for that.

Bye bye additional OP in March, hello two car repair bills after a close encounter with the OH's (parked) car....ooops!

ElusiveLucy - do you make more than 1 OP in some months? Are your lenders ok with that? Do you pay by cheque? Just wondering so I can get myself organised! I am guessing that MFWs have to wait until the yearly mortgage statement comes through so 'see' the real benefits for our own eyes....

    MartyBoy

I have an ex-Portman mortgage, now with Nationwide and am allowed to make limitless OPs. I have a DD set up for my standard mortgage payment each month and a SO for a "normal" OP of £500 each month. Occasionally I pay off a bit more by an internet banking transfer to my mortgage account. I am certainly very happy with tthe Nationwide set-up - daily updates on amounts paid and interst in year to date are available online.....very handy for us MFWs!

    No 128 - £50 OP paid today :D

I also have a Nationwide mortgage and love the fact that I can OP online as and when I like - and I've just checked my balance and it's now below £70,000 :j :D
