    Another 250 for this month - total of £1500 so far, with a little more to come me hopes. I now break down a budget per week, and at the end of every week, anything we have left over goes into our mortgage - but we will soon slow down - this month I think!

    OK. Opened two Nationwide e-ISAs with the aim to overpay there from April onwards - the e-ISA rate of 3.1% beating the mortgage rate of 2.5%

    Accounts appeared on the internet banking today and put a token £25 in each to get them started. Intention being that any ISA payments will only get put towards the mortgage, so there's a £50 overpayment.

    Now looks like this year to date and won't be putting any further payments in until April:

    #29 - Overpay by £2,050.00

    Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %

    January: 170.83 / 170.83 / 8.33% / 70.67 / 70.67 (100.16) / 3.45%
    February: 170.83 / 341.67 / 16.67% / 70.67 / 141.34 (200.33) / 6.89%
    March: 170.83 / 512.50 / 25.00% / 120.67 / 212.01 (250.49) / 12.78%

    Off to update via google docs.

    Sounds like a good plan FB - wish I could do the same but mortgage rate is 3.5% so it virtually impossible to beat that at the moment without fixing for a period....

    #205 here, just made an overpayment of £1,000 - damn my numbers OCD (if there is such a thing) and waiting months just to get a round number ;_;

    Slowly whittling away at the mortgage... a very long way to go, but it's a good feeling.
