:o No 20 reporting in.....where did these first 2 months go? Sorry for not reporting last month! :o

    January was £309.69

    February was £524.15

    Grand total so far £833.84

Still undertaking maintenance on the house, so big chunks of money coming out of savings there, plus have booked a (much needed) week away, am determined to still chip away at the mortgage but we'll have done well if we do hit the £5k target this year....but all in the Little Mama household will try their best....they will, they just don't know it yet! :rotfl:

Keep up the good work everyone! :T

Good thanks. Feel more positive this month. Reduced my food expenditure. Early days but will keep at it. It really is motivating to see the balance go down and I like to compare it to what it would have been had I not bothered. And yes, this forum is a huge help.

Don't know if I will continue as I have been doing - interest rates going up and possibly income going down later in the year - may have to try and get another job in another area so I can finally move in with BF :D. Likely to be a drop in salary. And the thought of 'shared' finances makes me break out in a sweat.

Have a Fab holiday Black Taxi!! Hope you have fun - whatever fun is for you.

I am back on the MFW trail, cleared £938 this month an overpayment of £500. If I can keep going at this rate my 2011 target will easily be beaten. However, I won't revise my target yet. Who knows what the year will throw at me.

What won't change is the desire to be again mortgage free, although I only enjoyed it for 2 months.

Keep at it folks, you know it makes sense. :T

    total outstanding £99527

Anyone out there with a BTL mortgage? Has anyone found any good deals about, Im currently on SVR of 5.79% with Chelsea, but Ive checked with Birmingham Midshires and they have 2yr fix 5.49% or 3yr fix 5.99% and can do IO or repayment or combo to the 2.
    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Wow Drew! Well done!

No.87 reporting in, got some grabbits for birthdays and Chrsitmas so l've only overpaid £300 this month bringing yearly total so far to £900.00

We're having a few days away later this month but hopefully if we don't overspend, l can OP another £100 when we get back which will round things up and we'll be 5th of the way there! :j

    Happy moneysaving all.
