    100 Posts Xmas Saver!
I'm kinda looking forward to making my first OP of 2011 (in about 10 days time, when I get paid :j). I haven't been able to OP for a few months because of buying/doing a few things we needed for the house...then the car needed repairs/tax...then some OP money went into saving for a new car...then xmas...you get the picture!

Managed to stick some money aside for OPing in December but haven't sent the cheque off yet...thought there wasn't much point with the xmas post and bank hols, might as well wait until my January pay day and then send a bigger cheque then :)

Well done to all those who've made an OP so early in the year and good luck to everyone!

Cake21 has kindly signed me up - number 152 - thankyou!

A great start to January to report - thanks to underspending on holiday to NYC in December and being ill over Christmas and so not going out, I started the new year with surplus money! So straight into savings account (linked to my offset mortgage) and a couple of small payments off mortgage thanks to TopCashBack and compensation from bank for an error.

    Total £1919.39
    Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:
    Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44
    Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.10

January's overpayments of £1400 have been made.

This now takes the mortgage below £60,000 for the first time. :T
Also another piece gets added to to fridge magnet jigsaw puzzle, only 8 pieces to go (out of 15).

£380 paid in January so far, going to be listing stuff on ebay tonight, so that should give January a boost!
  • Sounds like you've hit a busy patch Cake! Hopefully it's nothing you can't cope with but best wishes anyway! Although I guess you won't actually be able to see this until you're back :snow_laug

I've put my OPs on hold for this month as I try to get my ISA up and running and also as I'm heading over to NZ. Once I have my ISA up and fully paid up I'll head back to the OPs. I'll be updating my signature with my standard deductions and any money that gets paid into my ISA.
