As a matter of nerd-ish curiosity - can I ask those that keep spreadsheets if they have anything particularly special on their record/forecast. Here's my column headings - anyone with anything any different?

    Date
    No. Of years into Mortgage
No. Of years left on full term
    Interest Rate
    BOE Actual
    BOE Prediction
    Min Monthly Payment
    Monthly Payment on 1st
    Over-payment
    Cumulative OP
    Total Monthly Payment
    Monthly Capital Paid Off
    Monthly Interest Paid
    Daily Interest Paid
    Month-end Balance
Month-end Balance as if no future OP's will be made
Month-end Balance as if no OP's or adjustments have been or will be made
    Balance of Savings Accounts
Mortgage Less Savings = Net Debt

Very similar - but I also have hourly interest (currently 7p on smallest, projected to drop to 6p in July :rotfl::o ) and the date of the month in a separate field (i.e. 1,2 etc) so I can easily filter by date to amend or add a regular payment.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Would you be willing to share your spreadsheet (obviously with your data removed)? It looks considerably more advanced than mine which is
    mortgage, monthly payments, overpayments, total!

Simple, but I like the idea of your more complicated spreadsheet :)

LOL. Okay everyone speaks Welsh on this thread apart from me. Rwyf wrth fy modd Cymru (the bits I've been to) if that helps. Although if I had to say it out loud I would need 4 wine gums to attempt it.

My spreadsheet: I would do, but I can't.

    1) It wasn't mine to start off with and the originator does have some conditions of use
    2) I don't understand it all - I've found that if I delete my info then the whole thing collapses

The best thing to do is search for a User called 'Locoblade' - he has a thread and on his first post there is a link to the latest version of his spreadsheet. I used his spreadsheet but added a couple of columns myself - but before you start messing about with it make sure you save a version. Don't delete anything - just add!

Also be aware that Locoblades spread sheet calculates interest on a monthly basis - not daily which is what the majority of mortgages use. My monthly balance is always slightly out - usually by £2-ish. So I just over-write the figure with the actual balance (from online banking) so that it calculates the future balances slightly more accurately.
