How long is you post taking to arrive?

  • Post round here was stored in the post office. Some never had uplifts for 3 days.
  • I posted a special delivery next day item on 6th December. Still not arrived yet. Has had to travel the length of the country though.

Royal Mail have also cancelled all their guarantees for special delivery and tracked items arriving by a certain time which is also a pain in the a$$

    Grrr!

Its a joke, i have had 3 buyers contact me this week. Normally when they contact you they also continue to claim they havent had it even when it arrives as they are annoyed with the delay. The seller then gets punished for royal mails problems.

I've got quite a few items that I have not received - some posted in November - some companies are sending out replacements - others are saying wait/contact post office - but if things don't arrive by tuesday it will be too late to reorder - and thats if the items are still in stock.

I have same concerns about ebay items I have sent out - with every parcel posted I have sent a note to the buyer to say it is on its way and hope its not too delayed - but like someone else commented when it comes to feedback - they won't think about why their package didn't arrive on time!

I've already got one item that I need to claim for and thats before the snow came - am hoping the rest get there although the way I saw the post being thrown and squashed into a van the other day - I'm not very hopeful that even if things do arrive they'll be in one piece!

It's a joke - pain in the a***, grr, oh poor me. I'm waiting, how dare they. You have all sat back and watched the last government rape public services without protest. Now it's coming home to roost.

Well the delays in our packages reaching our customers seem to come in waves, about 3 key dates since the snow started where the non receipt emails seem to indicate stuff has got delayed and is still sat somewhere awaiting sorting.

The lack of understanding on the part of some buyers is atonishing. Comments such as.....'well we have not had snow here so why is my item delayed' to 'we dont have any problem with our mail as an item I have ordered more recently arrived promptly'. Best comment was 'well you should send your orders out using a more reliable carrier'! About 25% of our online sales are through eBay but it is generating 75% of queries!

We sent out an email to our recent customers updating them and advising that if their item hasnt arrived yet it will be due to the effect of the bad weather and to please allow a little more time. We called ebay with a simple enquiry about how the maximun number of characters this bulk ebay message could be and when we advised why we were sending it out they said 'you dont need to do this as everyone knows the weather is affecting deliveries'. If so, why have our enquiries about items not received increased 10 fold??

Oh, I don't know. The students don't seem very apathetic.

Haven't been good riots like these since the Poll Tax and look what happened to Maggie after those.

I've had a few messages from buyers who hadn't recieved their items and these were posted at the end of Nov/ beg of Dec, they arrived in the end just took a bit longer due to the weather as our Post Office didn't have as many collections as they usually did.

When did the snow start? I'm waiting for something that was posted around 23rd November. Seller is being reasonably helpful, it's just I'm anxious to listen to it.
