That's what I am hoping although as soon as I realised who the courier was going to be I did rather abandon hope. They have never ever managed to get anything to me within the stated time frame even without some poorer weather in other parts of the country.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Couriers are getting through fine here (we have rec'd parcels from myhermes, hdnl, dhl, citylink - even the supermarkets are managing their grocery deliveries here fine) , but we haven't seen Royal Mail in about a week.*
* Just remembered, we rec'd a special delivery, five days after it was sent, last Thursday (2nd)."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

to give a bit of perspective
theres mail down south awaiting transport to Scotland
about 1.5 million tracked items
over 5000 trolleys of packets
last night they were expecting 5 train loads to come up
they got one
still plenty of snow up here and the mini thaw has caused flooding and made the pavements/uncleared roads super icy!

Im down in the south of england, we had two days of snow last week which meant no post. I am waiting for items that were dispatched before the snow still and the items that were dispatched afterwards have all been coming through although slowier than usual- so it would appear in my area that the new mail is being delivered and the older stuff from before the snow must be stored somewhere.0

I have just been contacted by two buyers who are rather irate about not getting their stuff. Looks like it may be in the mountain of other stuff from the end of the month that has been piling up at the PO. Don't remember 30 years ago of anyone having problems with the weather except british rail when leaves on the track caused problems.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
