Can I just say that we have a lovely Starbucks (well its 30 miles away but its the nearest), they are all very lovely, just as the staff in Costa are, oh and the little cafe up the road.

I love gingerbread latte but I would hate it to come with cake!

I wouldnt be upset OP, just go with the flow, its Christmas.....

 christmas you say, well i didn't wake up with a pile of presents under my tree, i shall expect your cheque to make up for my distress in due course :D

You may think Debenhams might not rip you off, but it's the computer system that made the error, not their staff.

not just debenhams though but other shops, the staff dont and cant change the prics for stock(normal stock and not reduced stuff) as they are set by head office
• Do you have to speak Starbucksese to 'get' their menu then? Not exactly inviting and clear to new customers.

(Personally I wouldn't set foot in the place)

It's not a giner cake latte, it's a gingerbread latte. To me thats perfectly clear that it would be a gingerbread flavoured latte just as a caramel latte is

I'm just going on what all the Starbucks customers are telling me ;)
I don't care either way, I won't be buying one.

The suggestion that you had to somehow understand how Starbucks do things in order to know what you're getting was the part that perturbed me.
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I have to say I have had no problem with the 3 different Starbucks I frequent, I have always assumed that my favourite "Caramel" Latte, has Caramel in it, I would be quite taken aback, were they to serve me a large Latte and a Quality Street. ;)

I love gingerbread lattes, got my niece a peppermint hot chocolate today - do any starbucks fans remember when peppermint hot chocolate was the epitome of the starbucks christmas drinks menu?

Gingerbread latte with a cake, hilarious. That's something my mum would do.
• OK point taken, BUT that poster is not the one we saw behind the counter with the Daily Occasion on it! It clearly showed a latte and a slice of cake!
Plus when I had queued up to ask where the cake was the staff member said "no" and turned her back on me to do something else! As I said earlier no interaction with staff there!

She'll be thinking you're trying to con her because you get your cakes and cold sandwhiches/salads at the till when you pay and your coffees and paninis/other hot food at the bar (high bit at the end).
