Please enter your name and address and National Insurance number in the boxes above if these details
are not already shown, or if they are wrong. The attached notes tell you more about the credit.

"Use this form to claim Children's Tax Credit for tax year 2002-03. The last date to claim is 31 January 2009, claims for tax year 2001-02 are no longer possible. Completed forms should be returned to the relevant address as shown in the Help and Guidance section."

Just been referred here from another club site I'm on and I have a question. I have four children, the youngest two born in 1986 and 1990, so from the age point of view believe I could qualify. However, am I right in thinking that this is only relative to the tax years 2001-02 and 2002-03 in which case I can't claim
as we separated in late 1991. I have downloaded the tax form which shows those two years but wondered if it was merely a generic form and those dates needed to be altered as necessary? Sorry if this has already been covered by this thread but not had time to read through all the postings.
If its not just for those years and I have a valid claim can I do so safe in the knowledge that my ex-wife won't see a penny of it? I was the higher earner and it appears from the form that I can d/w it without her having to sign anything even though I give her details.0 -

This is a tax allowance for people who earned more than £6,000 in the qualifying year and the children had to be living with you the same as the current tax credit system where the person looking after the children claims tax credits.0 -
Boo, it seems I already had the tax code that year
Just phoned up local tax office and they could confirm it.
