They don't ask for your name or address - is this right?

Forgot to ask is this amount per fmaily or per child? As they only ask for details on one child - I presume you can only claim this once.

Does this also mean that if you were a high rate taxpayer then you cannot claim for those years?
  • If it was like the form i got, there is a blank space at the top for your name and address, the address i sent it to was HM revenue & customs, 9th Floor, castle house, leeds, LS1 4SW.

Can you still claim this? My mum had 4 kids( 3 plus me) all born within this time and both my parents were working full time at the time. Will she be able to claim for all 4 of us?

Edit - Sorry just seen its only 1 child. thanks guys, this is a great thread. xx

  • Am totally confused.....

I've got lots of PAYE coding notices which all apply for tax yr 2002-3
In Jan 2002 they said 627H
In June 2002 they sent another saying 631H
In Jan 2003 they sent a 3rd one saying 393L

And yet my final P60 to year end April 03 says 393LM1......???

So some payslips have an H on the tax code and a couple don't. So does that 'H' mean I was given Children's Tax Credit...?? But I think that year I was a higher rate tax payer and wasn't entitled to any anyway...???? Can't remember now.

You've more than likely had the allowance.

    Phone to check.
