The top part of the first page is blank! I think there should be some boxes there.

All you have to do to see if you are entitled is phone the HMRC on 0845 302 1437

There is a message saying you should dial your own tax office for this benefit
  • Am sending my form off today, so fingers crossed!
    Moving on up :o SPC #382 ~ £40 banked
    12k in 2016 #15. £541.91/£3000
  • Worth pointing out (apologies if it's somewhere else in this thread) but for those paying higher rate tax the tax credit is withdrawn at the rate of £1 for every £15 of income taxed at higher rate - so if one of the parents earned more than £42,450 in 2002-2003 then you're unlikely to have been eligible and therefore I assume unable to claim.

    I was skeptical.

I applied about a month ago.

Cheque arrived last Saturday for £601 and pence, was as good as cash when I put it in my account as it cleared the very next day.

Will love the extra money before Christmas

  • Hi everybody,
I m not sure if I am entitled, my 2 children were born in 1987 and 1989
but I think I will send a letter off just in case I am entitled, the worse that can happen is they say no.

If you claim for both years it asks you to read the intro notes about it - but I can't find them online. Does anyone know if you complete the one form for both years?? Or do you need two forms - thanks
  • You can only claim for one year now. That is 2002-03.

You had to claim for 2001-02 by 31 January 2008.

You must claim for 2002-03 by 31 January 2009.

    Send your form to:

    HM Revenue & Customs
    9th Floor
    Castle House
    31 Lisbon Street
