  • what a fab website this is!!!!

i've just spoken to my husbands tax office and they have confirmed that we did not receive the allowance in 01/02 or 02/03. she said she couldn't find form 11CTC and i had to contact the tax credits office, but from what i've read on here its nothing to do with them. what shall i do now? just write to the tax office?

am i too late to claim for 01/02?

    thanks for your help

    Hi

I called the tax office on the 20th June about this and they have said it looks like we never recieved this reduced tax code so to write in which I have did the same day.

Called 0845 302 1463 tonight and they have said it will be another 10 days before they look at my letter but they will then issue the refund . . . so fingers crossed.

Also got a nice cheque for £340.82 today as a tax rebate !!

Thanks to everyone for the information posted here.

DH had a tax calculation today from the tax office for 2001/2002 conforming they didn't give him the CTC and also confirming the owe him £495.64 for this year.

He has called them and they have said that it looks like they didn't dd it for 2002/2003 either so they will send him a rebate for this too - they won't tell him how much the final cheque is though and would only say it will be with him in 7/10 days.

Is it safe to assume that the £495.64 is because DS wasn't born until the August of this year and therefore because we had him for the whole of 2003/2003 we should get the full £520.00 ???

Thank you to whoever posted this because either way we are due at least £495.64 !!!
