I think there's a £60 exit fee BUT IIRC the rather brilliant backfoot got confirmation from their head legal honcho that the £100 'welcome to the madhouse' bonus won't be recharged if you leave?0

Hi, when does the exit fee apply until? Just thinking ahead for my next switch and cash back0 -
Gawd, I don't think I've got the strength to cope with another switch just yet.
But I'm moving to a new address next week (I didn't know I'd be moving when I applied for the switch to EDF at the end of November), and the supplier at my new address is British Gas... the company I switched away from in the first place! I spoke to a guy at EDF who said I'd have to end my Online Saver 7 contract, go back to British Gas when I move into my new address, then switch back to EDF again.
I could weep.0 -
It does say in the MSE statement "Those on its fixed, capped or online tariffs won't be affected" so hopefully it will not go up ??0

I genuinely don't know but, as a serial switcher, paying an exit fee never bothers me as long as I still make a healthy profit after cashback. It's just a matter of waiting for a killer cashback offer to come along, one usually crops up frequently.0 -

Yes me too - I do my fair share of switching
Just had a look in the booklet and it says exit fee may be charged if you switch before Dec 31st 2011 so I will wait and see what else is on offer.0 -
Well Looking at it EDF have already raised Elec Prices in Oct and now again so EDF's General average increase is higher than all other suppliers.
Gas - 6.5%
Elec - 10.1 % (2.6% Increase in Oct.)
Wouldn't it be great if they held V7's prices though as a sorry for the "problems" most of us are having. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -
The article does say online tariffs will not b affected... will call EDF tomorrow xI work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.
Thank you, Chrissy :wave:0 -
Good luck with calling them... I've waited 25 minutes to get through, only to be told that their "computer system needs rebooting" and someone will have to call me back.0
