"so we will now be transferring another group of customers in January 2011"
So you never know, you maybe one of the lucky ones come tomorrow ,0 -
I think the point about not being able to access the online account added to all the other 'foibles' associated with this 'mass switch' we are experiencing on here is just that it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence that your EDF experience going forward is going to be pleasantly trouble-free. After all, you only have one chance to make a first impression.0

They have had about five goes at creating a good first impression and still can't get close.:o
Another basket case I am afraid.0 -
My original supply dates were before the end of 2010. Spoke to them on the 10th Jan to ask when the gas was switching (the electricity went through on the 30th December no problems) and they advised it was going through on the 11th Jan. Spoken to NPower (my old supplier) today about final bills etc and they advised me they still had the gas and had not heard anything about moving it. (Which means even though i've told them weeks ago I am moving it, I am going to be affected by their price increase) Spoken to EDF again this morning (about 10 mins to get through) and asked them why it hasn't gone to them, their reply 'system problems'!!! GET YOUR ACTS TOGETHER EDF!! Now I am been told it won't switch until the 2nd February which means I have a huge price on Gas with NPower until then, and I'm on standard tariff for Electric with EDF as they can't apply the Online Saver 7 tariff to my account until they have both the fuels with them. Some lady calling me back before 11 to see what she can do! Useless, Useless, Useless!!!!!I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.
Thank you, Chrissy :wave:0 -
Referring back to above.... Lady from EDF has just called me back and apparently they applied for the switch on the 11th but it was rejected as they hadn't given enough notice for the transfer... surely they know how much notice they have to give...., but as it isn't EDF's fault they wont be offering any recompense for me having to pay standard tariff on Elec or that my gas is staying with N Power on their higher prices.... lovely lady though...I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.

thought i would call EDF this am,
My gas and electric is now with EDF , online saver 7 , and she said , £100 bonus to be received in 90 days
EDF will now submitt a final reading to my old supplier , once my old supplier gets these final readings they will either debit me or credit me any monies.
Sounds simple but we will see0 -
