make sure to speak to them if you use them as they have lowered all packages in anticipation of this new infinity. as a result i now get unlimited broadband for a few quid less than i was paying for 10gb (£12.99)

as far as im aware they arent advertising these changes. Just give a ring and make sure you arent paying too much

    Rang today as out of contract last week and was surprsied that was straight away offered £9.99 for unlimited including the evening and weekend call package, plus new router/hub
    was ready to haggle as in previous years (was on £22.99 free 6 months 18 month contract) new contract is 12 months only
    No chance of my exchange being upgraded so best option to remian with BT and touch wood have never had any problems with them.
    Efficient staff at BT did all quickly!

    How can you tell if you're in a contract? Do you have to ring them up and ask? I've been with BT for years and can't remember whether they do rolling contracts or not. I'm about £38 a month for my line rental and unlimited broadband, not including phone calls.

    Log into your online account to check your contract status.
    Yikes, what tariff is that? £26pm for unltd is incredibly expensive, you should be paying at least £10 less.
    And that's excluding your calls? All BT line rental packages include a call element.
    Look at your LLU options bu doing a exchange search on www.samknows.com

    All I know is that my calls are with Tesco and they're anything between £6 and £15 a month - normally around £8 though.

    You are on the wrong tariff then (Talk Plan 1 or 2?). Almost all providers do an Anytime call package for around a fiver a month (Tesco's Talk 3 plan is a very expensive £7.15pm). So unless you are making a large no. of exclusive calls (mobiles, premium rate nos, etc), you are throwing money away.

    There are cheaper options and better options than BT around. Do a exchange search on www,samknows.com and see what your LLU options are.

    Not much selection in my area.
    * BT Wholesale ADSL
    * BT Wholesale ADSL Max
    * TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
    * Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU

    OK, but you still have hundreds of non-LLU suppliers to choose from in addition-you are not restricted to BT, Sky and TT (though the latter two will probably be the cheapest).
    Plusnet maybe?
