Why is it you can never go to B & Q once! That's why I hate the place, as I know it will always involve multiple trips! x

You have my admiration LT - I just can't "do" diets - just as soon as I'm told I can't eat, or shouldn't be eating certain foods I crave them all the more - even things like chocolate which I never normally eat much anyway! :o Hence my utter wimp-out and going down the "healthy eating and exercise" plan - as that kids my brain it's not *really* a diet. Seems to be working for me as I've really noticed the last week I've had masses more energy. I did slip a bit last night - we had salad for tea and I had a packet of crisps with it, having also had a packet at lunchtime because I was having a complete energy dip after driving back from Scotland the evening before.....I felt like eating something else unhealthy after tea but had a slice of pineapple instead - yay me! :D

Well done on the flooring too - sounds like you're making great leaps forward with the front room now! :T

hi, EH i'm like you, i can never do diets, it's like my brain acts all childlike and stomps it's feet when i want to start one, or that could just be me!
somehow through sheer grim determination i've stuck to the Phase 1 5 day stage and it was torture yesterday as i was feeling so unwell. but after today i get to eat things like fruit - yay!

living room is almost put back together again, next i need to find the kitchen as stuff was put in there so we could work in the living room and it means that i can't move in the kitchen which has been doing my head in.

hope we can get out and go somewhere tomorrow to really start our holiday. As today is the first time i haven't been to B&Q since saturday i think i deserve a nice visit somewhere.

need to go and update my finances now :( not looking forward to that.

had a nice day today, weather has been horrible but it's been like that our entire week off so i should be used to it.
Went with OH to the cinema today because of the weather, hoping we can make it somewhere nice on saturday before OH has to go back to work.
Tomorrow the car has it's MOT, second attempt this week, fingers crossed it will pass without any hastle, after OH's last month i don't think i can take another expensive one. Then later in the day i have to donate blood, hope my iron levels ahve risen since the blood tests i had a few weeks ago. I'm hoping we'll get to mooch around town between the two appointments, we should do no problem. Only other major issue is that we have to get up tomorrow morning in time to get to the garage at 9am!!! It's criminal if you ask me.
  • Fingers crossed LT, hope the finances are looking OK.....and you get a trip somewhere nice! I'm sending you good weather vibes - you deserve some :)

And, you're right it is criminal to get up that early on your holiday!!!!

Hope the donation went ok. It is one of the things that annoys me about here. Because I am from the UK I can't donate blood because of CJD worries. And then they complain that they don't have enough donors......

Well done on sticking to the diet. Don't forget set yourself weight loss targets to keep you motivated. I would also imagine losing weight will help with your general health too, so keep that at the front of your mind....
