    thanks Taxi

I've been for a mooch around town with my mum today, definitely earned some daughter brownie points there!

Bought myself some new clothes, i know i'm trying to lose weight but i still need clothes, some really need to retire as they're now at least 6 years old! Mostly needed some tops and skirts and got what i could in the sale though two of the skirts were full price, i feel bad but i couldn't wait until they were reduced as i feel that i often look like a tramp. I'll definitely take them back if they don't fit. I generally wouldn't even give much of my stuff to a charity shop so probably shouldn't be wearing them either.

also treated myself to some nail polishes - i'm not usually good with them as i'm not great at applying them and i feel that they dry my already brittle nails but i've coated them well with hardener so fingers crossed.

    heavens i'm so tired!
Work has been hellish, way too much work to do and not enough folk to do it. I keep telling my manager that i just can't do the two jobs i'm trying to do currently plus covering for someone sick and all i get is shrugged shoulders. Was almost in tears today as there's just so much to do and no matter how many ways i write my to do list, they all have the same urgent priority which is mega urgent. I'm rarely leaving work before half six each night, working through lunch and trying to get in a bit earlier. I certainly don't feel like i can remember my week off at all.
Was quite annoyed with the aftermath of my shopping trip - three of the four skirts don't fit, they're all suposed to be the same size but i'm darned if they all fit the same. two are the same style, one fits and one doesn't, and another is exactly the same as two others i own and it doesn't fit grrrrrr
in what feels like the only good news this week (so far) - the porch is going to get repaired. The idiot signed the letter (not one for signing it but one for letting it go on so long!) so he's agreed to pay his share - allellujah!!! Guess i've got to find £600 to do our share then. I thought we had it saved but it appears OH has been subbing out of the savings account :( i know it's his account but it was for a specific purpose which we'd discussed. He doesn't usually annoy me, maybe i'm just being irrational because i'm tired.

WOW 11lbs in a week!Awesome. Now don't forget to moisturise you skin alot so that is takes up any slack. Well done on the walk too, great for toning up! I should be doing this myself of course, but it is much easier to tell someone else! lol

Also great about the porch. I too would be upset if OH had taken money that had been saved. I would STRONGLY suggest that is it up to him to make extra economies to pay it back.....Or am I being too evil?

Ref work hmm. I think keeping a diary of your concerns may be a plan. A factual one, vent on here of course! Because eventually someone is going to make a mistake with that much extra work load, and you need to cover yourself. Also if you aren't getting paid to do extra, then don't. By leaving late and coming in early you are enabling your bosses to not have to deal with the situation you have flagged. No job should nearly have you in tears. The next time you mention this, point out that they will be well up the creak if your health breaks down because of being so overloaded....

Maybe it is time to look for a better job?

Ref feeling tired, grumpy etc. I am guessing your diet is quite extreme if you have lost so much weight in a week. You need to take into account that it might have an effect on both your sugar levels and your hormones, so don't beat yourself up too much. You are withdrawing from eating, and reprogramming your brain to have a more healthy relationship with food. So it will have an effect.

Big Hugs LT you are so supportive of other people on here, so here is my support back!

    thanks Chev it's needed.

Diet is on a more tolerable level now the first 5 days are over, but i've been having some pain in the gallbladder area recently which is bringing me down (awaiting a referal for a scan). I certainly could have eaten pounds of chocolate today in response to work but so far i haven't. In fact i've not had chocolate for 18 days now which is a miracle.

i would love to tell OH that he's got to make the savings back up again but there's just no way he can, and certainly not before we need to pay for the repairs. Though we don't yet know when the repairs will actually be done. I've suggested that my neighbour do that part of it, why should i have to do everything??

sorry i'm feeling sorry for myself, i feel that everything always seems to have to be done by me, but i just can't do it at the moment.
re work, i've tried sticking within my normal/maximum hours but that hasn't got me anywhere either, more and more is expected everyday. now i'm trying the do excessive hours, not get it all done and then say - now sort it mr manager! method. I just don't want to be accused of not doing enough to try and get the job done, this way they just can't say that.

it's so unfair that you cannot fit your work into your normal hours and that it's affecting you so badly..are there other people there having to do as much as you?..don't know what to suggest as it's hard to leave somewhere as it's hard to get another job..hugs anyway xx

Hi LT, just popping in to catch up. Work sounds bad for you at the minute. I know the frustration you must be feeling because they're not listening to you. It's the same at my place. The only thing I have found that can be done is just to let go of the worry about not managing to please everybody / do everything. I took a "not my problem" approach. It didn't solve the issue but it made me feel a lot better!

You are inspiring me to keep going on the diet front. 11lbs is amazing and no choc for 18 days is even better! It's day 3 for me and it's a low carb one. I'm getting cravings worse than I did for cigarettes but managing to resist so far.

    hi everyone.
my entire team is helping pick up the workload of the person off sick but my biggest problem is that i'm already doing the work of two people in our neighbouring organisation which we'll be joining with. I've held it together like this for about 12 months but this is just the last straw. we will be borrowing someone from another team for the busiest times but that still leaves me with too much to do. Hey ho i'm sure i'll sort it out and survive it.
