not going to clear much extra off next month as the credit card statement has finally been produced and it's HUGE!!!!!

had a bizarre day at work today, bonkers. But i'm now off for a week so that has to be good.

truth is i always know what the CC balance is gonna be, i just feel like it hits me round the head when it gets produced. But i guess this month a lot of what has been spent has been on decorating the living room, which has made a huge difference, and the floor will make even more of a difference so it will have been money well spent.

    oh how i hurt!!!!!!!
busy day here as we started laying the new floor. What we've laids looks fab but i ache in every bone. Didn't really get started till about 2 because we found out we'd been advised to buy the wrong saw blade for the mitre saw we bought last week. Also had lots of furniture to move. Unfortunately it's rained on and off all day so we haven't been able to clear the room we're having to move furniture around like a jigsaw, it just wastes so much time. We've laid about a third of the space but we have done one of the bigger tricker bits near the patio doors.

i also started my diet today :( boy has it been a shock i'm hungry but can't bring myself to eat salad at this time of night. At least i'm one day down, only 4 to go of the really hard bit, then i can have fruit which will make things easier.

hope everyone is ok and having a lovely weekend.

Bet your flooring will look amazing...but I feel for you moving the furnuture round like that. Hope it dried out so you can crack on more quickly.

Sorry to hear the diet is hard going. I HATE dieting and find I eat well for a couple of days then twice as bad for 2 days after!

i've survived day 3 of the diet, and it's tough, but then that's the sugar addiction according to the book. I certainly would commit serious damage to someone for some chocolate and diet coke. Fingers crossed it will get easier from here, just need to find something interesting to eat for breakfast instead of eggs. Unfortunately as i don't eat bacon, it's eggs or salad lol

floor looks fab almost there now, just finishing off the scotia and the door bit between the living room and the kitchen. We should be through tomorrow and then we can enjoy the rest of our holibob. I certainly would like to go more than one day without a trip to B&Q!
Oh forgot we bought a towel warmer for the bathroom, it's the one thing i regret not doing when we had the bathroom re-done, but we were told that as it would just be electric & not fixed up to the central heating then it would be a hard job and mega expensive. This one looks like you just have to plug it into a fused socket and there was 15% off which is always good.

Pippi thanks for asking about my dad, he's so so. I went and visited yesterday and he seemed ok, he and my mum have gone away for a few days, not far only 50 miles or so but it's the first time they've been away together for about 4 years.
