today's installment: got underlay and damp proof layer and other sundries from Focus near work so got 40% off

then travelled to the next nearest branch where the discounts weren't as good. But i did managed to get another 3 packs of the flooring with 20% off which was still better than i could have paid in Homebase. Planning on going tomorrow to B&Q to get a posh machine which cuts the flooring (for Mr LT) and see if i can get some scotia reduced. We WILL have the prettiest, most beautiful floor for the cheapest price i can achieve.
Once again really cheesed off with my doctors surgery. Rang up for my test result and was told i need to see the doctor, but they can't make future appointments so told me i had to ring 'out of hours' and trawl through the automated service. When i eventually got home i got a phone call from them saying they'd been trying to get me, as i need to see the Dr. Um i know! you've already told me this! anyway she offered to make me an appointment (told earlier that they couldn't do this!) and because i kept saying i needed a very late appointment because of work they suddenly admitted that they do a saturday surgery for folk like myself and i could have an appointment. So i'm off there tomorrow morning, guess i'm going on the tablets
wish i could make this diary more interesting but i guess i'm just a mundane, grey, boring old person.0 -

Lemon Tree - in response to the first bit of your post, don't forget B&Q are having a '15% off everything' event this weekend - remember to print off your coupon from the link in Martin's newsletter or off the B&Q website before you shop!
And to the second part of your post, hun, you've had a 'funny ole week' - people are still reading your diary (and posting replies!!), some bits of life have to be mundane through necessity, I doubt you are actually grey 'all over' and you sure as heck ain't boring!

thanks everyone you're great!
Dr diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes (again!) i pointed out he told me that two years ago which put him in a fluster. Long story short i'm now on tablets
Had a lovely day yesterday, did B&Q, and remembered the 15% voucher (thanks Grey). We got everything we needed then went out for lunch
Added up the total costing of our new floor and it was £430. Then i had to do the obsessive thing and work out how much it would have cost at full price and that would have been £1100!!!!!!!!!!! OMG !!!! we could never had afforded that. It's going to be wonderful and we're going to start next saturday
after that we went to visit my folks, then came back and then played in the garden. It was lovely because i know i'd been feeling guilty about spending time in there because i felt i should spend every second at the lottie which i wasn't able of doing. Got my hands muddy and some planting done and lots of weeding and you can realy see the difference.
Best go and peg out the washing as the machine is beeping at me! got to try and get it dried before the rain shows it's face.0 -
too late it was spitting when i went outside so it's on the indoor lines.
Just been given the vouchers from the Mail so i'm guessing Mr LT intends for me to do the necessary with them.0 -
Urm it's good that it is getting sorted but  at the Doctor not checking the notes!
Does this mean you get free prescriptions now then

yep though he told me the folk in the pharmacy would be able to sort it, and i wouldn't have to pay, but got there and they said i needed to see the receptionist and get the doctor to sign a form. Grrrrrr!!!! going to have to go back sometime this week to get the form and the tablets.0

Sounds like you need a new doctor LT! You aren't boring AT ALL or I wouldn't read (does make me feel terribly nosy though, but I find it motivational!). Flooring sounds awesome, I'd never be brave enough to do all that myself! :TWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0
