  • Can't have them getting their little pinkies cold could we.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

At least the council will look sympathetically at the case and probably give a refund. That would never happen if it was a PPC. All she would get would be a standard "computer says no" letter.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

We parked in Leek council car park yesterday, it's crazy how may people were buying tickets even though it says on the machine that it's free parking on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

You think maybe there is an issue of trust at stake, in this instance? :D

Not only that, but although a PPC monkey wouldn't wipe an inch of snow to see a permit, they'd happily graze their fingers snapping away the wiper to attach a PCN, then a clamp, then the whole damn car to a tow truck

Why does she have to appeal?

Can't she just enter a defence to any Court Proceedings?

Why does she have to grovel to them when it''s their incompetence which entirely at fault.

I manage a PPC in East Anglia and we are very produ of our appelas process.
All appeals recieve a unique typed letter which will state clearly why an appeal was accepted or rejected.
We do accept appeals where we are seen to be in the wrong or we cannot prove beyond reasonable doubt we were in the right.
We did clear snow from windscreens to check for permits/tickets but please the excuses some people send is unreal.
One lady sent us a letter with a P+D ticket stating she had arrived at the car park at 1:30pm and been issued a ticket at 1:35pm. She also said she had bought a legitimate P+D ticket which she had enclosed.
she then went on to say that we were cowboys and that we had ticket her unfairly.. Upon looking at the ticket the timestamp clearly showed 9:02AM for the time of ticket issue. This clearly shows she had just got a ticket from anothe rvehicle as they were leaving the site and as per the ticket she did not have a valid P+D.
I know most of you guys think we are all bandits but we honestly try to operate ethically. All our signs and tickets have our address and phone number on them. We reply to EVERY letter or email we get with a personal reply and not a "computer says no we want money" letter as this isnt professional.
i also know by posting here i will now put myself up for attack and as per above i will try to reply to all of you with the relevant answers however anyone who abuses me directly will be reported.

OK Some questions. Do you call your "tickets" "PCNs" and are they enclosed in envelopes that mimic council ones? How can you pursue the driver when you know the DVLA will only give you the name of the registered keeper. Do you agree that the charge you demand bears no relation to the actual loss that is suffered by the landowner, and have you ever taken anyone to court and won?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • All very lauadable but your 'fines' have no legal validity. This is why we tell everybody to ignore your letters and the result is that eventually the threatgrams stop. Soon the only people you wil be able to extract money from are the gullible and vulnerable. Does that not make you proud?
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
