  • I Signed up to the EDF Online S@ver Version 7 on 22nd November via TopCashback. I received the email from "supplyenquires@edfenergypartners.co.uk" almost instantly.....I also received 'pending' status at TCB the very next morning for £80.80.

The thing that is concerning me is the first line of the first paragraph of the email reads "
In the next few days, you'll receive a letter with everything you need to know about your new account, including a copy of your contract". My email had no reference number or account number either.

Yesterday was exactly two weeks to the day and I haven't received this letter. I phoned EDF and asked and they couldn't confirm they had my application - although my EDF transaction has tracked okay and is currently at 'pending' status with my TCB account.

As my email was from 'edfenergypartner' am I right in thinking this will be handled by a sub-contracted company and therefore there is nothing to worry about???

Should I be concerned that I still haven't received this initial letter?

    Please help!!! :O<

It took about a week for my letter to arrive which contained a 12 digit account number. There was no account number on the email I received instantly.

I have got to do a Quidco Enquiry but from what people are saying they want an 8 digit account number from the email ?

The letter gives the exact switching date/s for Gas and Electric so it might be that they only send the letter WHEN they have got the dates from your current supplier for switching so it will probably vary with each supplier.

Another one that signed up via Quidco (on the 29th November) and have nothing appearing in my quidco account. Only started using the site in October so I'm a little annoyed!

Can I raise an issue with quidco now or do I wait?

I called EDF they gave me a 12 digit account number , but as BargainMad states , this is not the number Quidco need !! :o

I have managed to get another number from a lovely lady at EDF and its 8 digits , i hope this is the number Quidco needs or I can kiss my £80 CB goodbye !!

You're just being too impatient. The number you need will be on the letter when you receive it. As you have several weeks to make a claim with Quidco and they won't start processing it for at least 4 or 5 anyway, there is no rush.
