It sounds like most people who've been out collecting have enjoyed it, and I haven't heard of any nasty experiences. The good weather has certainly helped, and I hope that continues for the next few weeks.
Is anyone, like me, still waiting for a first contact from their co-ordinator? I've lost track of the times I've spoken to the helpline trying to chase up what's happened to my co-ordinator, only to be told not to worry it's being sorted and I will hear soon. Have now wasted 5 days waiting, and am not impressed with the system.
Best of luck to everyone out there collecting, and hope that those of us still waiting get some response asap.0 -

Keep the faith, it must be horrible for you guys who haven't had contact yet, but just be guided by the helpline. At the very least you should be paid for the contracted hours so you won't lose out financially. Just a shame that while the weather has been glorious that you couldn't have made a good start into the job. Just hang on love!!!0 -

Does anyone know if we're actually supposed to use the highlighter pen for anything in particular? I'm trying to tidy up my paperwork and double check I've done everything right before my co-ordinator wants to see it!
Our co-ordinator also hasn't mentioned anything about collecting our sheets in...so far I've had 4 areas to work in and I've done pretty much done them all so I don't know how I'm supposed to fill my 37 hours a week...if I put my mind to it I could do all 4 areas in 8-10 hours.0 -

Hi there,
I don't think you're supposed to use your highlighter in a particular place, it's more for your own use. I use mine to cross out the ones that come through on the received forms list on a daily basis.
As far as the 37 hour week goes, you are meant to spend some of it doing paperwork, doing your expenses, planning your routes etc, the rest of the time is yours to walk the streets. Enjoy!!0 -

depends what you mean by "done". do you mean you've visited every address once? or you have contacted every householder once? or there have been returns received from every address in your area?
i've visited every address once, but way off having contacted someone in each household. i've started second visits today.0 -

What daily lists do you mean? I've only been issued one set of paperwork for each of my areas...my co-ordinator hasn't had them back off me and hasn't given me any updated lists?0 -

I've visited all the houses on my lists at least once....of course I haven't got hold of everyone yet but I know that in 8-10 hours I could do all my paperwork, plan my route and visit all 4 work areas I have. I just don't see how my workload is supposed to take up 37 hours.0
