Thanks for that, Chalky. It wasn't emailed to me - have checked all the emails I've received regarding the census, a couple of times. So much info in the field staff book, couldn't find it in there!

Sympathies to those still having to cope with the wonderful Capita recruitment process. I wish I could tell you things get better when you actually start the job but unfortunately I can't. Lots of problems but here's an example - all collectors at my induction only given a couple of replacement questionnaires to give out and told that ONS have limited supplies so there won't be any more available until sometime next week, and even then it won't be many. Apparently if people tell you they haven't received a questionnaire or that they have lost it, you just have to tell them they must have received one, they can't have lost it and it must just be lying around in their house somewhere...
  • Still waiting to hear..... I did email census payroll yesterday as a previous poster suggested so I'll wait & see if that works. Most housework done now so out in the garden this afternoon. Its abysmal that you're left this long without a word. They'll be needing a new photo of me at this rate!

  • I was supposed to start on Wedensday (census collecting) and still haven't heard anything...also, when I call the 0845 number to try and find out why this is, I just get a message saying 'there are no services currently running on this number'...has anyone else had this problem?

I had this happen once yesterday, but when I rang again I got the usual "we are experiencing a high volume of calls" etc, and the options.

I've finally had a response to my many e-mails. Someone from payroll rang me, and seemed surprised I have not heard from my co-ordinator. They are now looking into it, so fingers crossed.

Got my staff manual today in the post which I should have had before my classroom training which I did on Monday:rotfl:

I have not heard anything since my training other than when I spoke to the 0845 number which I mentioned earlier.

Now getting  as i am losing a potential £40 per day plus as from Monday incurring child care costs which I can't get out of due to heavy demand for child care over the school hol's

no shortage of H1s here, i've given out quite a few (and some from thurs have already been filled in and appeared on the update list!). but we don't have any HC1s or I1s :rotfl: thankfully i've not encountered the need for any yet.
