Just had my Monday delivery cancelled from Ocado. This is the fourth time it's happened.Yes I fully understand the bad weather and would prefer if they could ring and let me know when they think they will be able to come rather than keep rebooking it only to have it canelled.0

I live near Huddersfield and have a delivery booked with Tesco beteen 5 and 7pm tomorrow. I must admit I've found them great in the past. A few years ago they delivered in really bad snow, we had run out of most things and were down to the last nappy ( I had no transport and we live in a pretty rural area) Tbh I didn't think they'd come, I was so grateful I made the driver a thermos mug of coffee and gave him some homemade biscuits and told him if he had time I'd ask him to stay for dinner
Bless him, he brought the mug back the following week
I also emailed Tesco and told them how impressed I was, hope they gave him a pat on the back!!! :hello:

Ocado delivered to me yesterday (North of portsmouth), the delivery driver parked several streets away and then carried my shopping to my house through the heavy snow. Amazing service from them.

I'm in Sheffield and the order I had booked from Tesco on weds, didnt turn up, no call, no text, no email, nothing, so I rang them a few hours after the delivery slot had passed, to be told all deliveries were cancelled from that store, which I do understand but she said I should have been contacted, nope and the only option would be for me to re-do the order and book another slot online as she couldnt do it over the phone. Okay fine, so went online and as others have said, no free slots till the 8th. It's also worth nothing that even now there has not be a text or email from them about cancelling my order. No apologises there!
My OH works in Liverpool monday to friday/saturday and has the car, so I'm not able to nip to the supermarket, and even the local shops down the road are all sold of milk, eggs, bread etc and I have a 13 month old so getting out with the pram isnt an option either really when it's 6 or more inches of snow, and I dont have any family around to help either. So I did a quick order with Ocado and had it arranged to be delivered tonight, but I got a text and email from them on thursday saying it was cancelled due to the weather, lots of apologises and if I wanted I could just click the re-order button on the site to save having to fill the basket again and then pick a new delivery slot. Yet again, fair enough and it was nice to be told, so I rebooked for tomorrow but I had another email and text today saying that that one was cancelled too.
I completely understand the reasons behind having to cancel the orders however I will be shopping with Ocado again and not Tescos, the fact they couldnt even send out an automated email to say it had been cancelled in my eyes just shows they dont really value my custom. Hopefully my OH can get home tomorrow and we can get out and get some food in!No buying un-necessary toiletries challenge - Start total: 235. Current total: 273!!0 -
We are covered by the Leeds depot which we have been informed is closed, we fully expect our next order to be cancelled again.0

I have just been shopping at the mega Tesco near me and i think that the locusts have descended because there are clear shortages of many things.
Are people panic buying?
It cant be a supply issue as i live in a major city and the motorway is right beside the store.
There is also talk of a national bread strike...best get some in for the freezer..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
