I thought this may be a good idea but please feel free to pm a bg if you think its not relevant.
I thought we could list our areas and whether or not your groceries have been delivered/alternative days/compensation received.
Just thought it could help us all out and we also know what to ask for if people get vouchers etc and others are offered nothing.
I live in Surrey and Sainsburys have just delivered even though I have sheet ice and snow outside (my side road is like an ice rink!) He wouldnt even let me walk up my garden path to help him
Lovely guy who said they were trying to get a lot out today as we are supposed to get more snow tonight so they may not be out tomorrow.

I've got a Tesco booked for tonight between 9 and 11, we're suppoed to be getting LOTS of snow from 9pm tonight (in Portsmouth area), so I'll let you know if it arrives OK and otherwise what happens.Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0 -
Had a Tesco delivery booked today for between 1pm-3pm, didn't arrive. Just called customer services, has been cancelled due to bad weather (roads are clear around here, not had a great deal of snow). Tesco didn't bother contacting me to tell me it had been cancelled like they're suppose to.
This is the second time they've failed to delivery in 2 months, I think I'll be switching to Sainsburys0 -

I was worried mine wouldn't arrive after reading this while waiting for my shop to be delivered!
Normally it arrives at the beginning of the slot or sometimes they ring up and come early (love it when that happens).
I booked 2-4pm today and it arrived at about 5 past 4. Am in Leamington Spa and we've had a bit of snow - has been snowing lightly all day but not enough for it to disrupt travel really.0 -

i posted this earlier on another thread -
I've just had the same problem with Asda, ordered my shopping yesterday morning for it to be delivered between 9 and 11 today. Im in Barnsley, they called me to say that the driver cant get here because of the snow, perfectly understandable, but then went on to say that as they cant come they completely cancelled my order and i'll have to rebook it. Just gone on Asda website, first time they can deliver is Saturday!! So just checked when Tesco can deliver, next Tuesday!! Cannot believe this, completely snowed in, no essentials in the house, I can't drive, all buses in the county have been suspended until further notice. I would go out and walk over a mile to the nearest shop, but no guarantees that they would have had a delivery or anything............
my sisters delivery with asda tomorrow has also been cancelledYou're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
i've been told that sainsbury/ tesco and asda are NOT DELIVERING at all in Sheffield currently.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

Cardiff. Sainsbury cancelled my Saturday evening delivery; they phoned just after 8.00 that morning to tell me. By the time I could re-book all slots till Tuesday were taken, but Tesco could deliver on Monday.
edited to add, it is very cold here but the snow is not that bad, this is an inner-city suburb, they should have tried on Saturday.0 -
How far do supermarkets deliver from the store? 10 miles? 15?
Now draw a circle around your local store to see what sort of area that takes in.
Then take into account the supermarkets lorries and where they come from. How far have they got to travel to get to your local store.
What about the lorries bringing everything to the local distribution centre?
How much of your order may be missing?
What about the safety of the delivery people? Heavy loads, poor underfoot conditions?
Or consider staff that are absent as the local schools are closed and they cant get childminders?
I'm sure theres more, thats enough to make me realise theres a bigger picture than me not getting my delivery.0
