completion date not the 21st as hoped, but Decemebr 7th - so not too long and gives me more time to pack. Yippppeee - will be in by Xmas - saving tree until new house though! Can't wait until actually moved in and we can breathe a big sigh of relief - only got married in July (after planning for year and a half!) and then went straight into putting house on the market - we must be crazzzy!! We had news today that the valuation survey will be done this Thurs. :T Hoping they'll come back pretty quick with the mortgage offer.
We'll be expected to exchange & complete on the same day as its 100% mortgage but need to work out a viable time scale as we need to give 4 weeks notice on our current rented property starting on a Monday....
We don't want to end up stranded with the festive holiday period and no workmen available as we have some landscaping to get done before the new kennels go up, laminate flooring to get laid and blinds to measure up before we move in.....
I keep telling myself it will all be fine!0 -
Hi peeps! Glad to see things are progressing for some!
I spoke to my buyer today and he seems adament that we will complete on the 1st !?!? - I have no idea what planet he lives on because he hasn't even got the searches back yet, we haven't received the sellers information to fill in and as far as I know he hasn't got his finance - we haven't had a survey anyway!
I've put the brakes on my purchase until I know what's going on as I still worry that it will all fall through - I'll keep you posted, and good luck everyone else, It really helps reading everyone's journeys0 -

Glad to hear things are moving on for some people!
We received some additional enquiries from our buyers solicitor today, a huge list of stuff which looks like it's on a standard form and some of it repeats the sellers information form. Just battling through it now....
On the positive side it means that our buyers solicitor is now actually doing something, after sitting on the cheque he put in for the searches for 4 WEEKS before actually applying for them.Addicted to Facebook0 -
I'm going backwards! Help!
Completion date pushed back (I knew there was trouble the moment I saw he EA's number flagged up on my mobile, it's never good news when they come calling!) to December 15.
Been leaving messages for my solicitor to call back but nothing so far. I want to hit something now! I want to exchange this week!
Glad to hear that there seems to be progress for everyone else though... :T Congrats missbee!
