Hi everyone,
I am so glad this thread has provided some light relief all round! I am sitting here tonight chuckling to myself reading all your posts! :rotfl:
Mrsc, I have never had a child but I am hoping for one next year (after the house move first!) and the only way you can convince me to have a child (or buy a house) is if you tell me I will NEVER remember the pain! Missbee, I like your 'I know what you mean' x 3! Hilarious... Tomthumb, we have a completion date on December 8 so pretty close to yours! Fingers crossed! Roma, good luck for tomorrow! I hope it is the contracts you are signing!
Well, we went over to the house we are buying tonight and felt a slight panic as our sellers have packed almost everything! But that's good news I suppose as it means they are hardly likely to pull out now. We had a good chat and we think we have pretty much resolved all the understanding issues verbally and they said they responded to our last solicitor's query on Monday evening so it looks like we are ready to exchange this week or next! Fingers crossed... :T
The annoying thing was we supposedly couldn't see the house this afternoon because our EA is sick and the office is really shortstaffed, only one person manning the shop.... Well, my inlaws got to the village early today and had a look into the EAs' office and guess how many people were in there. THREE! GGGRrrrrrrwwwwwwww... I am so mad!

Angel1976 ... Dec 8th sounds good, plenty of time to get sorted out by Christmas.
You say that you were shocked to see the stuff all packed up ...you should see our house!! Been this way for weeks now with floor to ceiling boxes!
However, we had an even bigger shock ...the couple in the house that we are buying moved out last Friday!! (It's a good shock I guess?!!)
Let me know how you are getting on!
Yes, of to the solicitor this aft but is it to sign contracts or what?!! :rotfl: Getting nervous!0 -
You know what I can't be bothered with this any more, I don't see a move before christmas (being realistic) I've had enough of stresses and strains in the past 12 weeks that I'm past caring about it all - I actually feel like telling everyone to shove it and we're stay where we are only thing is Hubby won't let me.House purchase completed 6th December whole process took 4 months.
Hang in there everyone it is worth it0 -
IT WORKED!!!!!
My email obviously kicked the necessary butts as we have just exchanged - completing on 22nd and hoping to move in on 23rd.
So it took a mere 3 months to exchange on a new, empty property when I've had my mortgage in place since August

mrsC .... that post could well have been written by me only a day ago!! I was booking a ferry for Spain and telling everyone we were off for 2 months .. this IS true!! Thing is I wasn't going to wait another day for them all..!!
However, all can change just when you least expect it so please don't give up!! WE are getting closer (will find out how much closer this afternoon!) and it will all be ok - really!!!! :j ALL THE BEST!!!!0 -
Well done Bargain Rzl congratulations,
Roma I just don't know I am throughly fed up today! Again we're doing the round robin (as i call it) of calling everyone and again there is no news!House purchase completed 6th December whole process took 4 months.
