Morning - more snow yesterday evening but none overnight, although my car is still stuck in it.

Yesterday I sat and did a whole load of scanning for a friend, very peaceful it was too. Today I have two sets of exam papers to mark so will settle myself down shortly.

Cleared out almost all of the kitchen cupboards too - 24 Lock 'n' Lock boxes in the back of one of them :eek: and have moved enough stuff to give me an empty one ready for the dishwasher to be installed. Got two large bags of unwanted stuff for the CS, but can't get there! Six dinner and six tea plates from Next (about 15 years ago) which are a lovely burnt orange red colour, four mixing bowls,a large whistling kettle and a rice ball thingy! All taking up valuable space.

Need another jumper on and a hot drink. Hope everyone is warm and well.

Goodness, just heard from Marie, Edinburgh airport has been closed, they are bussing them over to Prestwick airport and hope to fly them out later, I am worried though, as I live about 40minutes from there and the weather is awful up here. I hope they are safe, and that Ryanair will put them up somewhere if they can't fly them out.

My parents live in Edinburgh..at this rate there will be hardly anyone at my wedding:rotfl::eek:

Can't believe you get married so soon, I really don't know where times goes these days........perhaps too much time spend on the 'puter I think what you've done for Noah's room is a very good idea - I really hope it helps give him some space when he's have a moment x

H is up in the loft getting the Xmas decs down. Think we're just going to bite the bullet and put stuff up today. As we put things up on the 1st anyway I don't think either of us can face tripping over it all for the next 3 days

Hope Marie gets home OK. I confess we only had a teeny bit of snow so I'll happily have what you've all got. We always seem to miss out here in the middle

Morning everyone, hope you don't mind me popping my head over the fence. Thought I'd say hello properly and good old OS too!

Well today I'll be popping on and off all day as I attempt to complete my assignment for tomorrow and the last 750 words plus lots of rejigging and referencing to go!

I've taken my meals out of the freezer to deforst - pre done Jacket potatoe to reheat with cheese and beans, HM chapaits and curry for tea and eating up the last of last years mince pies that I defrosted yesterday. Need to free some space up in there for Christmas!

bitsy havent seen the making of it....it was a bit creepy...was it just me or did Jim Carrey make Scrooge look like Steptoe;):cool::rotfl: i found it quite off putting.....kept waiting for him to shout " Haaroooollllld!"
i am starting to think of putting decs up:o
Getting a real tree this year and may buy one next weekend before all good ones go;)

I am putting our wedding music on cd today ready for before ceremony ( just did a load of Motown stuff), then ceremony stuff.
I am also doing a cd for when we are having drinks and canapes after service....have about 2 hours will DJ starts.
i have put together a load of christmas music....mainly old stuff but some more modern stuff. I don`t know if people will get fed up of all Christmas music.....I wont I luuuurve christmmas
What do you guys think??

must go an get ready...cant face getting pjs off to put clothes on...... it is -9 now:eek:

Good morning everyonnne ,had a lovely nights sleep although I woke about 4.30 feeling really cold as my hands were outside the covers.Soon snuggled down again though and got warmed up.Very cold here in north Kent and no snow yet but a very hard frost so everything is very white.I will layer up when I go out to my DDs this afternoon .I am going to have a delve in the wardrobe as I have a feeling I have a thick jumper in there which I will wear over a Tshirt to keep the layers in.
Eldest Dd is due down this morning so she will want to know all about how things went with the birthday boy. I know we have rib of beef for dinner tonight as I took it out of the freezer for her yesterday.I might knock up an apple pie to take with me as I know the kids like that with thick gloopy custard.You really need warming food inside of you when the weather is cold. You can't run a car on an empty tank no more than a body.
I think I will get some Scotch stewing beef out of the freezer this morning, ( I know I have a fair bit in the freezer) and put it on tonight before I go to bed in the SC so I will have a nice big panful in the morning to portion up.I have some carrots and onions that need using up as well so looks like stew is on the menu in my house tomorrow .
Might make an Orange drizzle cake as well for Tuesday as I have craft club then, and I like to bake a cake now and then to have with a cuppa .Next Saturday I am off to Lille with my eldest DD for the day so i must make sure I have enough euros I have about 35 upstairs I think left over from last time I went to France but I know I will need more as its been awhile since I have been and I want to get a couple of Christmas bits whilst I am there.
Right I'm off to have some porridge and a shower and sort myself out I hope you all have a good Sunday and keep wrapped up warm ,no one wants to be poorly over Christmas with a cold .
