But at least I can miss you sliding off on your bald summer tyres, while I'm on my fancy Nokians. :rotfl:

    Bald?.....

Neither of the cars are on Bald tyres..

And 50% worn BFG ATs on the Hilux....

Got sorted with Bridgestone A001s - so much more grip than the crap they replaced.

    Cheap they were not though.

They'll be a relation to Nokians too as Bridgestone have a share in them so should be good.

Kingpin Amazons to be politically correct, but yes the same as the Insas. They're a bit softer than what I expected but 2,000 miles on and no real wear to speak of. I am expecting approx 15000 out of the rears and 20000+ from the fronts.

Sorry. Kids all grown up and flown the nest now and Sainsburys in this back of beyond? Not a hope. we have a tesco and it's only 2.5 miles if you drive as the crow flies. ;)

That wouldn't be too bad if they hit that mileage:cool2:... Roughly Half of what I get from a set of BFGS but half the price. The BFGS tend to perish on the sidewall long before the treads are dead:(

I ran Insa Traction tracks for a while and they were down to around 40% after 5k miles or so... Tread pattern was a bit on the fierce side for the work it was doing.

    Thread Hijack.
Yes the BFG's I ran on the Shogun were good, excellent wearing but they did the same as yours. Sidewalls went.
Thing I find with these are they are very noisy, granted not Grizzly Claw noisy but not far off. They're well mannered up to about 80mph but over that they do leap about a bit. All in all I m pleased with them for just over £55 a tyre.

Not what goodyear say, go to

    http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/repository/EagleF1GSD3_2/index.jsp

click the "compound" link on the right and you get....."The Eagle F1 GS-D3 tyre offers you supreme power transfer with demanding traction and braking in summer conditions."

which I think is diplomatic speak for "get some winter tyres or you will have an accident"
