I may be wrong - but from what I recall from way back of having seen pro LIFE propaganda this does sound a lot like the sort of thing they tend to say. The pro Life lobby often have those views because of religious beliefs.....just saying....this may not be as "objective" a post as its trying to sound....(I'd better stick in an apology now if this poster ISNT a Pro Life supporter...).
For anyone wishing to check out to see whether views are objective on the one hand or by the Pro Life group on the other hand they might wish to see:

By 'this poster' you mean me?
I'm not religious, and all I know about 'Pro Life supporters' is that they tend to be American rightwingers! I'm neither!
You are seriously saying that all the ultrasounds done by the NHS in this country before 12 weeks that check on the heart, spine, and other organs are faked by 'Pro Life supporters'?
Every timeline that shows how the fetus develops week by week is a lie?
I just corrected a blatant mistake (and I know, if one tries to correct everyone who's wrong on the internet, they'll never leave their keyboard again, but I was waiting for another laptop to update and bored).
I do not think there is a huge medical conspiracy to lie about fetal development. It sounds like you do!PPI on Natwest loan, Barclayloan, MBNA credit card, and Mortgagecare all repaid just for asking in 2012/2013!
Barclaycard - PPI refund refused 26/01/13, ombudsman upheld 12 May 2014, Barclays resisted until March 2015 - FOS say Barclays are calculating an offer, they have 8 weeks.0 -
I think you have to get away from the emotive 'killing' feeling. Hugely controversial I know, but at 4 weeks gone it is only a tablet or 2, believe. We don't really know your circs, so second the impartial advice, what about BPAS as well as Brook and Marie Stopes offer advice as well.
This abortion issue is going to divide people as it is wont to do, but you have to make up your own mind and at 4 weeks it is basically just a cluster of cells, a blastocyst, with very little differentiation. In fact is only just implanting properly. I would say though make your descion properly and personally the fact that it is only a cluster of cells would influence me.0 -

There is very little cell differentiation at 4 weeks and I am aware of the fact that the 3 organisations I offered are termination providers, however they have a duty of care. I suppose that there is no such thing as fully impartial advice as everyone will have an opinion, but they are the best you'll get! The 22 days you quote is infact 22 days after fertilisation, not 22 days pregnant. So that would be in fact on average 36 days - more than 4 weeks.0 -

I did actually say 22 days after conception or fertilisation if you prefer!
As abortion providers they certainly aren't the best you'll get.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

The OP is 3/4 weeks pregnant so to tell her what will be happening in 1/2 weeks is not exactly helpful, is it. Mind your posts have not added anything to help the OP, merely corrected spellings and added in facts as to what will happen with regards to development. If you like I will go and get my copy of Gray's and detail the fact that it will look like a tadpole in a few weeks. You say they are not the best advisory service you will get, but to my knowledge you have not said who in your opinion is the best?0

This is an organisation that can help with free confidential impartial information and counsellling. http://www.careconfidential.com/
Thiswas in post 28 so I have given the name of a service that can help. Others have told about Life who also provide counselling.

My apologies Torry, yes you did. I made a newbie error and read 3/4 of posts and not 100%! ( slaps wrist!)0

my heart goes out to you. I am very pro-choice, always have been, and never expected to find myself in a position where I would have to choose. But just two years ago my husband of nearly 10 years walked out on me, without any notice or prior problems in our relationship (as I saw it then, anyway), and a few weeks later I realised I was pregnant with our third child. I can't begin to explain the emotions I went through but I did keep him and am very glad that I did, but as another poster has written, being a single mother isn't easy and the financial side of it is very, very hard.
I also wanted to say that at your age, I was at university, I travelled the length and breath of South Amercia, lived and worked in the Caribbean for 3 years, did a Masters degree, worked, travelled and worked and travelled some more, all prior to meeting my husband at the age of 27. I did it all 'right' - got my qualifications, lived (very well), saw the world, got it out of my system. Never did I expect to be a single mum, never did I expect to struggle for money, never did I expect to feel so guilty that my children don't have what other children have.
I envy other people I know who are divorcing at my age becuase most of them have grown up children (or at least teenagers). I might have had a good life in my 20s, but it sure as hell is crap now and it's hard to get out there and meet other people when you have three small children to care for. If I'd had my children early, my life would have been my own by now and perhaps then I could have travelled...swings and roundabouts!
I guess the point I'm trying to make is whether you have kids at 20 or 40, it's never going to be an ideal time. There are pros and cons to doing it both ways. All that matters is that YOU do what you think is best for YOU today because you're the only one who will have to live with that decision. Take care of yourself - no one else will xxxx0
