I logged on yesterday and could see that Groupon Company Rep was viewing this thread - I was hoping they might have posted a response to wrightmills59 and my comments but apparently not.
Groupon Co Rep, can you shed any light on what is going on with these xboxes?0 -
Hi there. We're currently looking into the situation and should have an update by the end of the day, possibly Monday. Groupon's understanding and agreement with Orange is that they will be providing the XBoxes. We've had a couple of slight issues with customers being misadvised and confused by information from call centre agents and we're trying to make sure that everyone is on the same page with understanding the process. Will let you know the status as soon as we do. Thank you.“Official Company Representative

Thank you groupon rep, i shall keep looking on this forum page for your answers.
Lets hope that orange do the decent thing and just keep all these customers informed, a simple email to the select customers about dispathed date ? hold up ? will be gratefully received. Communication is the key hear !!:money:0 -

I had the same problem with no-one taking ownership at Groupon or Orange. After many calls and emails, my Xbox finally arrived - 2 days before the 60 days were up. That's 58 days from sign-up, so it actually came on time. .The problem was that no-one knew what the procedure for sending them out was and I had lots of contradictory information...0

OMG that means i have been told wrong info from orange again !!!! they have told me no xbox's have been sent out as orange havent received them yet.
What date did you sign up ?
when did you recieve the xbox ?
who sent the xbox ?
did you have any correspondence ?0 -
I signed up the day it went live - 30 November. By my reckoning, thatmeant they had 60 days from that date, under the T&Cs. They told me initially that the Xbox would be sent straight after the first payment has been received. Someone else later said it was 60 days from the first bill, which I pointed out as outside of T&Cs. At other times, both Orange and Groupon seemed to have no idea who was co-ordinating the scheme.
I had sent an email to Orange and Groupon on 26 January. I have never received a reply to either but, later that day, the Xbox turned up...no letter, email, phone call...it just turned up!0 -
As to who sent the Xbox, I have no idea. It arrived via courier.0

I guess it is a similar incentive offer. However, as I pointed out to Orange and Groupon, the wording on the deal is particularly relevant. This states that the £10 is for the purchase of an Xbox 360. Although therer is an obligation to take out Orange Broadband, the fact is that the Xbox is being sold for £10. Therefore, it falls under Distance Selling Regulations and should therefore be delivered within 30 days of payment....
just a thought!0
