see someone posted the president of brandalleys name on facebook, ive sent him a mail, a calm, calculated analysis of how the organisation has handled the busiest time of year and how many people they have let down. anyone know of any actions that can be taken against them? (only actions that are legal mind

I had two items cancelled earlier in the week, and then one item that was listed on the despatch email as waiting for manufacturer to ship or somesuch. Quite annoyed about that as I;ve spoken to 3 people since my order was supposedly packed, surely they could have told me then!0

So glad i checked here before placing an order with BA. Sorry you've all been messed about. I stopped using them last yr for same issues and extortionate returns prices and having to jump thru hoops to get refunded.
I was hoping they'd improved but alas no. They're not that cheap either sometimes if you go to the 'brands' own site in the sales section you'll see the same stuff cheaper! ie; Suzy Smith / Nimbus etc. I remember reading / hearing Trading Standards were on the case last year (will try and find info and post it here). What a shambles letting customers down at this time year. They are shameless.0 -
OK, well I got a dispatch email and tracking number on Christmas eve and was able to pick it up from the parcelforce depot- 1 large and 2 small boxes. I thought it was a bit light but couldn't open until I got home as kids were with me. The parcels said total of 3 boxes so none were missing but each only contained one item and one of them was damaged and another flawed- I ordered and paid for 16!!! Most of the expensive stuff like perfume did not come. I have checked my account and it is saying it has all been dispatched with the one tracking number that the 3 boxes had. By this stage Brandalley were shut, as were the shops so no chance to get anything else. Not the end of the world but very irritating. The kids had very few stocking fillers because of this as I had been promised it would come before Christmas and got a tracking number on Christmas eve. Now I don't know what will happen. I was very angry when I discovered this but decided not to let it ruin Christmas- everyone did get presents. Just not the ones I necessarily wanted for them.
I imagine that Brandalley customer services is going to be busy next week.
Can someone please post the details of the director here as I don't have facebook access?

I mustv'e been extremely lucky, after the same wait as others and email rubbish I got from them, my Ed Hardy stuff arrived, well packaged and my daughter was overjoyed with it. The boots came on Christmas Eve and thank God I managed to get them for £11, they certainly wouldn't have been worth the £70 they were quoted as being full price, but they are a nice wee run about boot. I have to say, I wouldn't order again unless I got another discount voucher code though!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

I had part of my order delivered just before christmas, the delivery note had all the items on it but there was a sticker saying something like 'items to follow' or something.
I've logged on and my status still says being prepared.
anyone spoken to them today about outstanding items? does the reciept only get generated once the whole order is dispatched?0 -
First time I've ever had such a bad experiance of buying online. Ordered on 16th November, understanding they had a long delvery period but last date was 16ht Dec, so stupidly thought that would be fine for Xmas....
On 16th December emailed BrandAlley saying cancell order if item wasn't going to be delivered for Xmas. Had email back saying item was in ware house and would be with me by Monday.. That was the first lie. AT that point they could have told me order was delayed and I would Not BE getting it before Xmas I would have canceled order and brought replacement presents.
I was then given a series of dates when the oder would be dispatch. Then I got the email GUANTEEING the delivery before Chirstmas...
Phoned Tuesday last week was told item had been ditpatched and should be with me Wednesday or Thursday, that was a BLATENT LIE. Checked on there website this morning, goods were dispatched YESTERDAY, and are still are parcelforce. I wonder at which point in November they realised they could fullfiill the orders they had taken on and decided to start lieing about delivery times.
(ALso keep saying on FB about how busy there customer service team is... but they didn't think of extending there telephone opening hours)0 -
Just brosing thru there terms and conditions... TDoes this clause mean they've covered there backs.Or could you argue that by not hiring more staff or looking at weather forcasts, that it wasn't beyond there resonable control to dispatch items in time.
19.1 BrandAlley shall not be liable to the Buyer or in breach of this Agreement for delay or failure to perform if the delay or failure is due to a cause beyond our reasonable control (the "Event").0 -
:mad:They can probably get away with delays but not complete failure to provide goods due to the weather. What is the excuse for saying they had dispatched when they had not (3 times to me) and also they managed to get 3 of my items to me eventually, albeit one was damaged but the majority of my order was not there- no excuse for that- they certainly can't blame the weather for incompetence.
I am waiting for a call back and if I don't receive one I'll be claiming a paypal dispute.0
