You can find a fairly comprehensive list of locations from Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures at The Locations Guide. This forum isn't letting me put in the URL directly so you can find it at
www doctorwholocations net (with dots in, obviously).
DW has been and about around much of Southern England (classic) and Southern Wales (new). We even had the iconic shot of the Cybermen marching down St Peters Steps outside St Pauls Cathedral re-enacted just this week for the Doctor Who Experience promotion!0 -
I grew up and still live near Ballochmyle Viaduct which was the bridge used in the (first i think) Mission Impossible film.0

There have been dozens of films and TV programmes made around Gloucestershire, particularly Cheltenham and Gloucester. Theres a great site called Gloucestershire On Screen - featuring loads of "before and after" photos of movie locations made there - including Bridget Jones, If, Harry Potter, Butterflies0

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (UK). Their beautiful gardens and glasshouses have appeared in Daniel and Pascoe, Doctors, Location Location Location, The Clothes Show, Hustle and BBC Gardener of the Year. It has also appeared many times on Weather forecasts for BBC Breakfast, Central News and BBC Midlands Today. Also it has had Gardeners' Question Time on the radio. It was famously used as the venue of Spandau Ballet's first gig!

Castle Howard near York was used as the beautiful setting for Brideshead Revisited (TV and film versions), Redcar seafront in Cleveland was the beach setting in Atonement (we went there just after they'd finished filming and it was still set up with French signs - got loads of photos!) and Helperby (a village near York) was used for the filming of 'The Life and Crimes of Doctor Palmer' a few years back.DFW Official Nerd Club #1070

In may 2009, having just taken my visitors on a walk up the local hill, Falkland Hill, (East Lomond), we headed to Falkland village for lunch, where we stumbled upon a film shoot in the middle of the main street. They were filming "Imogene". The buildings had been "aged" in one area, the streets were cleared of people not in post-war clothing, and some local children were taking part. One boy said the waiting for their scene was boring! I was rather interested in the old cars they were using, and the many takes for a scene, these cars being pushed by hand, up the slope of the street, back into position. Also, some filming was done on the road to Leslie from Falkland. The filming was over a week. It was all very entertaining to watch and my guests were loving it.( They were from malta and at times have worked as extras in their local film studio,on gladiator and pop-eye especially.)0

Well the bridge popped up in the New Harry Potter film, Deathly Hallows pt 1.
When Hagrid was going through the tunnel with Harry at the beginning (upside down) the red bus said Dartford and you could see the bridge as they flew out!
I saw that bus on the film and thought I was seeing things at first!#19 Save £12K in 2019 challenge. Target = £10,000. Progress = £1136.09/10,000 (11.36%)
