For those having problems with EDF, tonight have phoned them as i have had the same issues with account registration and billing for standard plans, and was put through to a very nice, and well spoken individual who was most helpful in explaining the whole thing (shocking i know)
For those that sign up online to any online tarriff their system accepts the transfer and marks the account that on transfer from the old supplier it should automaticaly alter the standard fuel billing to online saver version ?.
Some techincal issue between the old server and new migrating server have caused this to fail....and of course nobody realises untill the customer phones up to question.
However this was corrected without question and billing will be backdated and corrected.
As to the website issues, again old server used 13 digit account numbers the new one will use 12 digit, so untill old accounts are migrated you can not use the online account with a 13 digit number....this is not expected to be complete for 2 months.
Im sure in 2 months time we will all be here complaining the migration was a complete failure as we still wont have the correct billing or accounts!
Wish i had never left British Gas and that is saying something!0 -
you can not use the online account with a 13 digit number
Here is the 13 digit log in page where username is unlikely to be the email address:
www.edfenergy.com/myaccount
You will also see there is a link on the page for 12 digit account numbers which takes you to:
https://my-account.edfenergy.com/irj/portal/anonymous
Here the username is an email address.
If I am wrong about this, please post more info and I will correct this post.0 -
Paceinternet, I don't think it matters how many digits are in your account number.
For some people it is just not possible to get logged on.
My latest missive said that on-line accounts should be up and running in the Summer.
That's if EDF have any customers by then!!0 -
As a new EDF customer you cant register on the old site, as the registration button takes you to the new one.0

Today my quidco has gone to PAID status from EDF :j:j0

i applied 1/12/100

I applied for dual fuel switch 23/11/10 and Quidco £80 set to paid 09/03/11 . Supply changes were 16/12/10 Electric and 06/01/11 Gas , and 25/02/11 Electric Bill shows £75 credit for dual fuel £100 welcome bonus . Gas bill not yet received , looking good , if administratively a bit rocky so far .0

i also had my £100 bonus applied to my EDF account last month !!0
