I imagine you haven't been properly transferred to OS7 and have been overcharged. Ring and they will issue a rebate.

Tariff prices are shown on Page 8 of the leaflet 'Cheaper bills and competive prices until December 2011. You should have received it with your contract documents.

thanks for your help. yes looks like i have been over charged by £20 on each and havent been transferred properly. will ring in the morning. thanks

OK got through to them again and they confirmed the 2'nd March price increase does not apply to the online saver version 7 tariff. However they could not say when/if prices for this tariff will increase.

Earlier in this thread people have said they were told the 2'nd of March price increase does not apply to the online saver version 7 tariff.

I phoned them this morning and they said this tariff would increase by a similar percentage to the standard prices but she couldn't tell me what the prices would be because their systems are down. She said phone back on Monday.

So I am wondering who else has asked about this and whether the answer depends on who we speak to at EDF.

I've just had a response to my complaint e-mail ref letter increasing prices:
I apologise for any inconvenience caused however I can confirm you are registered for the Online S@ver Version 7 Tariff and will not be effected by the price change on the 02 March 2011. I can also confirm the £75.00 welcome bonus was applied to your account on the 14 December 2010 which will show on your first electricity bill which is due on the 03 March 2011.

It's so annoying that you are unable to get an on-line log in to enable these things to be checked/confirmed without a load of hassle.

Still, a positive outcome I suppose.

Backfoot, thanks for highlighting the T&C for me. I thought there would be some sort of clause somewhere!

Just keep at them I just stressed I have never had this issue with any other supplier, At first the CSA was not going to create my Online account but once she spoke with her "Manager" Hey Presto I was online.

Demand that they send you paper copies of the bill until such issues are sorted they soon get you online. :p

    Thanks for that.

I have just replied to their e-mail demanding communication on all matters by post till such times as I can get an on-line account.

Don't hold up much hope though.
  • just had a letter saying my prices were going up as their system is still showing me as standard customer. Rang up and actually got through straight away. The csa has (hopefully) changed my account to online 7 , my bonuses have been included and they will backdate the changes. I also enquired about the online account as it is a bit bizzare being on an online fee if you dont have the access. She set me up and i have managed to log onto the old system. bizarrely it doesnt actually show online what package you are on. but im well in credit!! as they havent billed me yet

my online edf account has not changed status in weks now , i still only see gas, yet im being billed for both

Details state online v7 dual fuel,

First DD went out monday gone £100 credit added at same time,

Quidco still showing validated only for last 60 days or so !!
  • I joined edf from atlantic in nov online saver v7 all went smoothly changed over really quickly went through topcashback (80.80 cashback - just payable) so with £100 welcome bonus I would be quids in (especailly as the day after I left atlantic's prices went up!)

I had noticed the problems people were having so watched with interest as changeover happened. On the welcome pack I had all the osv7 details but it didn't actually specify it on letter so I rang back then and they said I was definately on osv7 with first bills being due end feb/begin march
Guess what- just received first elec bill and I have been charged standard rate yet it included my welcome bonus of £75 (25 to come on gas bill - prob next week). I also received a letter with new standard rate rises effective today. Rang them took 5 mins in queue then spoke to a very nice woman who said yes I was on osv7 but for some reason it hadn't transfered over properly on computer!!!!!!!! Great here we go I thought.
She said it wouldn't be a problem and she sorted it whilst I was on the phone and said a revised bill would be sent out. I asked whilst I was on the phone could she please tell me what the new tariff for osv7 would be. She confirmed osv7 has not increased with the price rises. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed until I get revised bill that this has been sorted. I rang 0800 096 9000 and selected other and got put straight through to queue as I said 5 mins only.
Will update you when I get revised bill.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
